Discussion: Ipolitics after 50 with teams

After speaking with a friend about these over 50 teams, I have come to the conclusion that the politics on these teams is the same as little league. Sponsors, sponsor so they can get in the lineup even though they stink, players form clicks, use them for self serving purposes, these teams carry way to many players, and wonder why they have NO winning consistency, and are hesitant to add anyone who may take one of their spots. It is clear to me that I will enjoy my summer weekends watching cartoons, listening to the Allman Bros., and going fishing, instead of wasting my time trying to break the political code of these teams. I offered help that's all I can do. I'll stick to the local leagues, play with 20 year olds, and my over 50 league team, and help them.
Good luck to all over 50 guys and keep playing, stay healthy and hit, hit, hit.

Discussion: I D cards and guest players

Hi.. Tinman or anyone know how I get these other ID cards in case I get a chance to play in any senior tournaments. I do have the Senior Softball USA National ID card, but don't I need 2 or 3 others? Also, what are the rules for getting guest players on your team for a National? Can these players go anywhere and play? I'm looking for someone to fly me to Honolulu to play as a guest, I promise to bat 800.Seriously, though, how does this work? I would like to put my services out there in case a team has an injury, needs help, or a player. If I bat 5 times usuall I get around 4 hits.

Discussion: New Jersey Player looking for the right opportunity to win a 50,or 55 national title

Hi, 58 in September, still playing local leagues with 20 year olds. Can pitch, play 1b and occassional outfield. Looking for a team that helps cover expenses, since between the ages of 21 and 50 while playing tournaments all over the country, I did not pay. I hit for a high average, all over the field, and should be in your top three in hitting or I'll pay you. Anyone in the Northeast remember Millville, sommerville,Wildwood, and the Deleware tournaments? The teams I was on won all of those and more. Thanks for any consideration...Joe
