Discussion: ISSA MYRTLE BEACH TOURNAMENT EXPERIENCE

Our 60 AAA team played in the US Open in Oct. , and my only complaint is the team rankings. Our division was won by a team (Louisville Og's) that is ranked major in SSUSA.

Discussion: what's hotter than a 34/28 demarini juice?

I own a well broken in Juice and it is a great performing bat, but it will not out perform any of my senior bats. I own newer Combats(Maxum 2pc., Maxum, and a Nifong, and for me these Combats top my Juice in performance. They are still behind my OG DaBomb, Ambush, and black Centenarian and took 150-200 swings to get going. If you like the Juice try a Demarini True One EL or the senior Juggy. I got 3 newer Combats for the same price or lower than the top tier bats and only sacrifice about 10'-15' in performance. I am 64 5'11' 190 lbs, line drive hitter who hits an occasional HR.

Discussion: NEW ! Worth Wicked Senior bat

I thought these were supposed to be made in the USA(a selling point for me), just received mine and it says made in China on the wrapper! Bat feels really good, but I would have never purchased if I knew it was made in China.

Discussion: Bats and balls allowed for ASA and USSSA tournaments

ASA and USSSA both have senior associations but they are scarce. Both allow senior bats and ASA uses the 44/375 ball while USSSA uses 40/325 Classic M. If not senior sanctioned ASA uses 52/300 ball and ASA stamp bats while USSSA uses either the 40/325 Classic M or the 52/275 Classic M+ with USSSA stamp bats. 44/375 is the official ball for most senior sanctioned tournaments.

How are all these bats passing the test? The Original UII was at the limits and hitting balls at 105+, and these new bats are supposed to be hotter. Somebody is gonna get killed.

Discussion: Question about single-wall metal bats

First aluminum bats were like fence poles, virtually indestructable. When they came out with singlewalls they thinned down the metal wall for better performance. These bats were at their best right out of wrapper and degraded or dented after use. When I first started playing('71) the ball degraded, not the bat. When singlewalls first came out the balls were rocks(red & blue dots) .52/575+ or 50/575+ and performance was improved but durability suffered. I used an XBH(heavy wall) from the 70's to early 90's. '96/'97 Demarinis were insane and Worth EST's of the late 90's were great also. Best singlewall I ever hit was a Ritch's Superior but it didn't last the whole season. Singlewall bats nowadays are good to go right out of wrapper.

Discussion: How do we get bat manufactures to still make bats for asa and harder balls

52/300 is the official ball for ASA sanctioned events as of 2014, unless it is senior ball which still uses the 44/375. Some leagues still use the 44/375 and they are hard on the new ASA bats. An all association bat will have better durability with those balls. IMO find a 2014 or 2015 Easton or a Combat Derby Boys or 275, all can be had for under $100 with warranty.

Discussion: ASA Bats

MSU is the Gray Ultra 1 and MSUM is the Gray Ultra 1 maxload, these bats are banned in SS. Your bat has an ASA stamp on it and is model# SOULTA and therefore should be legal. My teammates love that bat, as for me I have the 2014 maxload SULTMA and , like I said before prefer my Combat Derby Boys or Easton L6. According to what you posted almost any bat except the Original Miken Ultra BAL/Maxload is legal, so you should be able to swing your UII or any Senior, USSSA, or ASA bat.

Here is a list of the bats that were just banned on 1-22-2016.

The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA)/USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, in working with Easton Baseball/Softball Inc. (Easton), announced today that Easton is voluntarily removing the following softball bat models from the ASA/USA list of certified bats: SCN1, SCN11BH, SCN1B, SCN2B, SCN3, SCN4B, SCN5, SCN5B, SCN6B, SCN7, SCN7B, SCN8, SCN8B, SCN9, SCX14, SCX14B, SCX24B, AND SCX3.

Fred S , I believe he is referring to the ASA only Miken Utra 750X which came out in 2013. I own one and there is no way that bat should be banned, it is good but I have swung much hotter. ASA bats for 2013 and beyond are made for the .52/300 ball, and hitting with a 44/375 will have an effect on durability. From what I have been reading Demarini is the king of ASA. Personally I don't care for the feel of Demarinis so I use an Easton L6 or my Derby Boys 275 for my ASA league. IMO I would go with an Easton or Combat Derby Boy because they can be had for under $100 with warranty and will perform well. Comes down to your preference 1 or 2 piece, balance or End load. I would not pay any more than $100 for a Freak98, but that's just me.

Discussion: 2016 Worth Dennis Rulli Senior Bat Balanced SBDRSR

Same bat Jeff, the Rulli and Jeff Hall Legit were both released in the spring of 2015. I have yet to see one in action and the few reviews that I have seen say it has some pop. It has a new tri-seamless technology and is a tri-wall bat so it should be durable. If you can get it for $119 or less I would give it a shot.

Discussion: Worth Senior Legit

I had a 454 senior that was less than 30 days old and had about 200 swings on it when it broke. Called Worth and they told me to send it back and they would take a look at it, but would not promise a return. They sent me a new 454 after inspection. Loose barrel is a defective bat IMO.
