I agree with the 5 game guarantee, I run our event (Dayton Legends) as a 5 game guarantee, I will play the 11 man defense and apply 5 runs to the lower teams if I don't have enough uppers. I thought that the Michigan event went well. "Yellow Balls" will be used in our event, however, since the City of Dayton facility does not allow the U-2, I cannot use that bat in this event, however everything else can be such as the Snergy, Capalast, etc. Remember for those teams that are interested this is scheduled for the 2/3 July, 5 games guarantee, no time limit and I will work with all the teams managers to ensure that this event is run safely and will try and make everybody happy (can't totally guaranteed it, but will try). Thanks Legends 11

I agree! Leave the CR rule alone, it truly gets everybody involved and far more participation. Heck, if a person is willing to travel thousands of miles and spend thousands of dollars to participate in this game that we all love then let them be CR's. It's the right thing to do.

I agree with both widing the mat and lengthing it as well. I don't travel thousands of miles a year to walk (only if pitchers are really struggling). Come on guys, the game is suppossed to be fun so let's go to HIT! Widen the "MAT"

Okay, keep the Mat, but at least widen it, remember the strike zone is where the ball crosses the plate not where it lands. The Mat is too narrow for corners. Pitchers can't pitch the corners because the Mat is too narrow. Just widen the Mat a little so that Pitchers can pitch "Corners". Besides, I don't want to travel all over the country just to walk, this game is really simple, see the ball hit the ball. If you are so worried about walking, stay home with the Mrs. and walk with her around the block. This game is played underhand. "Go to HIT"

Tim/Nancy, "Thanks for a great weekend, Dayton Legends had a great time, could have used better weather but still not bad. The only problem that I saw was again the use of the MAT, please throw away the mat, it's tough enough as is, let alone throwing at the MAT. We don't use the MAT anywhere else but Indy, so think about getting rid of the MAT for next year. Hey Guys, what did you think about the BUCKEYE BUS. We'll taking it up to that place of "NORTH" as Woody would say. So it should be a good time taking some serious hazing from the Wolverines. Other then that, Nancy good job, love ya. Danny

Discussion: Team Ratings

Haven't seeen the rankings yet but I believe that the Dayton Legends are not a AAA club yet. We have played a total of 9 games and we are currently 6-3 and 2 of those wins were by forfeit (Indy) so we could be 5-4 or worse. So as far as saying we are a AAA club, NOPE not yet. We are only a 1st year club at the 50's, we were a combined club lat year and we were 10-19 for the season. We haven't WON anything yet so before you move us up let us at least try and win something. Also, don't forget the 2nd Annual Dayton Legends Softball Club tournament to be played at Kettering Fields, Dayton, Oh on the 3/4 July. This is a 5 game guarantee in all age groups 50 and above. If interested call Danny at 937-258-8544. Thanks and have agreat day. Danny
