Discussion: Anybody familiar with this ball?

To you guys who are much more knowledgeable about softballs than I (Steve, Marv, Ron?....)The local softball club in my community here in Az is considering ordering a ball (through a local source at a cheap price) that is made by Sterling Athetics Co. called the Sterling .44/375.
From what little I know or have read about this company and this ball I suspect it is a ball intended for fastpitch.
Anybody familiar with it or have hit it?

Thanks,
Cliff Noble

Discussion: Great catch in Phoenix

Was just alerted today of this discussion by Ron Danoski..........
Thanks fellas for the nice comments.

A few thoughts:
To those who say defense is nonexistant in major plus.....there were numerous great plays made that day by both teams.
What a juggernaut my friend Steve Imlay has put together in 60 major plus and so thoughtfully named it after Joe Brown. And speaking of defense what about the performance by Joe Brown's pitcher Mickey(?)...tremendous.
To Woody: thanks also for the kind words; however I somehow fear the unfortunate barstool incident will remain my GSF legacy.
To Donnie: Hi to you and the Turn Two guys...looking forward to seeing you this summer.

Discussion: Has Anyone Else Had Problems With The Reebok ME'LEE Legend Senior Softball Bat Because Mine Cracked After 45 Hits Any Durability Problems?

On Nov. 18, 2010 I hand-delivered 4 melee legend orders to the Las Vegas Reebok rep. A month ago 2 of them were delivered, the other 2 guys are still waiting for theirs (of course their credit cards were charged a long time ago). I am pissed because these guys (who play in our community league)bought in large part because of my recommendation after swinging demos. Why should it take so long, and how the hell can it be that with all these unfilled orders from November one could order one Jan. 19 (see armiho thread above)from a Reebok rep and receive it Jan. 24?
Can anyone connected with Reebok explain, or, does anyone care?

Discussion: Its Unanimous - The Best Senior Softball Players Are in California and Florida

My question is this: How could this rule possibly have been passed UNAMIOUSLY by seven voting members? Could not even one member be concerned enough and consider how many teams will be broken up/negatively effected by this rule? Exactly how much discussion was there?????

Discussion: Phoenix 60's Major Plus

Woody, you couldn't have put it any better. Sunday in Phoenix was as challenging as it gets (could've done without the sun factor). Weren't many homers but dammit they were huge and with the soft ball and sun so was defense huge. Little guys playing their roles getting on base, the big boys driving in the big runs, good defense by both teams......the way it was supposed to be? Do ya think?

Congratulations to MTC on a great effort in the heat and all... great tournament.
