You all are correct as i looked at the simple bracket again this morning. I was looking right at it last night and could not figure it out. Thanks shane and dave for guiding me thru it. Never liked those 3 game guarantees anyway. And you were right too wagon. I wasnt mad , I just couldnt figure it out. Thanks again guys and good luck to all in raleigh. |

Can you tell me where the loser of game 6 and game 8 in the losers bracket of the 50 aaa will play. 2 games in the round robin or pool play, then those 2 teams lose 2 straight on sat. Isn't that a total of 4 games for 2 teams wagon. thanks |

It seems like they could test them before selling them. My ultra hits worse than a lot of single walls. And the one they sent me back is just as bad. I really want a good ultra but should i try again. Is the worth 454 any good. |

I also bought a DEAD ultra 2 in late may and after 100 bp swings, i sent it back. They sent me another DEAD ultra 2 black balanced bat. It was and still is after 300 or more swings DEAD, DEAD, AND DEAD. I am a singles hitter and thought maybe i would keep it after i have been hitting around 700 for avg. but when they come in on me, it gets really hard as the bat is terrible for distance. I've had ultras before and they were great for pop and distance for me as i am a singles and doubles hitter. i can keep the outfielders honest if i had a good and ALIVE bat. I tend to agree that there was a bad batch in may and june. I dont know what else to think. Miken has always had great bats. I really want another ultra 2 but am afraid it will also be DEAD. I tried the reebok and dont feel comfortable with them. QUESTION FOR TRI, THE BAT SALESMAN, can u list a price of your bats online and i prefer using USPS for shipping. Is any of that obtainable. Thanks and any bat suggestions would be appreciated. One more question, if the 1.21 bpf is supposed to be hotter, why is it not. |

| June 30, 2012 ricky33 | Topic: General and miscellaneous Discussion: Reebok Melee i bought a ultra 6 weeks ago. it was dead. i sent it back. they sent me another DEAD ultra 2. with 2 people using it, it has about 250 swings on it. It is still dead, no pop or carry at all. I used a teammates ultra 2 which was 3 years old almost and the first swing i had , it felt like a baseball jumping off the bat. Do you think miken will help me out in this matter. I have thought about getting a reebok meelee. I dont have time to take much BP. If i got it rolled, would that hurt the bat and is it considered wrong or illegal in our game. I dont play during the week, and i dont have much time at all for BP. I do want to do whats right. Any advice would be welcomed. thanks, ricky |
| June 16, 2012 ricky33 | Topic: Bats Discussion: Miken Ultra II balanced and end load. i bought a 26 oz. miken ultra 2 balanced bat 2 mths ago. It was dead with no distance or carry. I returned it, they sent me another one. The one i have now is just as bad as the first one. I was hitting balls around 290 ft. on average on the fly. With these 2 ultras, i can only hit the ball around 260 ft. on the fly. i am very dissapointed and dont know what to do now. I think they are making the bats differently somehow. Can someone recommend a very good senior bat that comes hot out of the wrapper. I use 26 oz. balanced bats.. thanks |

| May 18, 2010 ricky33 | Topic: Bats Discussion: SHAVED BATS? hey guys, i really didn't mean to start arguments. i am a christian and i was never intending on criticizing anyone. actually, my shaved bats topic had a question mark behind it. i was only asking if there were illegal bats around. this was our first tournament ever. i was really looking forward to playing with mature and honest 50 year olds. last year with the young guys, i know for a fact there was shaved and painted up bats everywhere. i really thought i was getting away from that. i would hate to see any player get seriously hurt or killed over a ball game. i started playing softball in 1973 and have played extensively every year since. i know how bats should perform. after all of that, i will admit i am not positive on the other teams using illegal bats. thats why i was only asking what i thought was a fair question. i just miss the ole days with the single wall bats where there were a lot of defensive plays. l love the double plays and infielders diving for balls and making outstanding defensive plays. doesnt you guys miss that. we didnt turn a double play in six games. the balls were hit to hard and fast to react to. and we have a pretty good team. all i really wanted to know was if many teams used illegal bats and if they did, we will not be able to compete against them with our bats. i have yet had anyone tell me honestly if players do or do not use them. my last question would be, why do people use illegal bats and wouldnt they be more of a man, if they played the game by the rules. thanks, ricky |

WHAT PERCENTAGE OF TEAMS do you think are using illegal bats like shaved or painted. give me your honest opinion please. we played this weekend in 50's and some of the hardest balls i have ever seen was hit against us. i mean everyone in the lineup was hitting shots. we cant react to those kind of hits. just wondering, thanks. and by the way , i do not agree with illegal bats. i wish we was all using single walls. |
| May 17, 2010 ricky33 | Topic: Bats Discussion: SHAVED BATS? we just played our first senior tournament ever this weekend. i need to ask this question. if you dont know for sure, dont answer. i thought i was getting away from shaved bats. but this weekend, the teams we played hit the hardest and some the farthest balls i have seen in a while. my infielders didnt have time to react to most grounders. homeruns were reaching 370 feet when they hit the ground. will someone please inform me on what is going on. we bought a new ultra and it wasnt producing anything like the teams we were against. we hit 1 home run in 6 games. we play 50's. i would bet a dollar to a donut they were illegal bats. i need to hear some thoughts and opinions. thanks for your reply. just a little frustrated right now. |
