Discussion: Obstruction?????

1.48 OBSTRUCTION Obstruction is the act of:

A. A defensive player or team member who hinders or prevents a batter from striking at or hitting a pitched ball.

B. A fielder who is not in possession of the ball, in the act of fielding a batted ball, nor about to receive a thrown ball, who impedes the progress of a runner or batter-runner who is legally running bases.

The Screamer5 - "within the baselines" is incorrect. Just remember, don't impede his running path. I know you "round" the bag when attempting to go to the next bag.

Discussion: Your opinion on best Senior Bat

"Benji4", oh yeah! Well I use to have Parnell's other signature bat (32 oz. Gold barrel with his name, 528 (HRs he hit in one season), and the word BAUXITE on it. Trying to retrieve it from a former EBO teammate that needed an ASA bat for league play. I'm not going to mention Jesse Vargas' name by the way. Will be seeing you on the circuits soon. Good luck! Discussion: Intentional walk rule

In our SENIOR leagues here in Sacramento (SPSSC & GSSCS), every team makes the playoffs so intentionally walking the "tournament" player is like 99.99% not done. During the playoffs, that percentage changes which is understandable. But if you intentionally walk a batter for the second time, he gets two bases, a third time (have never seen this in 7 seasons) would be 3 bases.

Discussion: 2015 Winter Worlds/Phoenix and team for 2016

The way I see it is: All teams have between 15 -20 catchers, "CR" is widely used, everyone has two arms, and you might have one teammate that can't hit a HR with a senior bat. And maybe you bat above .700 with nobody on and .200 with runners in scoring position. Just my 4 cents (adjusting for inflation).

With just 7 teams in the 50 Major Plus division, round robin format with best record and use the run DIFFERENTIAL as the second tiebreaker. If EBO would've have won Saturday night, we would've played OKI for the third time. Maybe next year we'll have 10 teams, oh wow!
