Regarding Dbax initial message.
My understanding is they only have BLD's for Friday. Unless they can get the Ultra ll 'OK' from BLD management. They may not be there for Friday either.

Gary.........what if the pro hitter has a corked bat (or any type of illegal bat) and hits a line drive at the pitcher and injures him ? My guess is there would be severe penalties .The pitching example dosn't work.
I agree, cheating is cheating. Should we ignore the under age player? Think not. Where do you draw the line?

Discussion: All Tournament Selection

You guys are fast. I can barely get the total on hits and AB's of the last game played added to my totals already figured and some one is tapping me on the shoulder asking for all-tourney selections. Lots of time when your coming thru the losers bracket and playing back to back you don't have those luxuries to figure all the stats. I try b.a. first w/big defensive plays and big hits. Mainly because I can remeber those. Sometimes as you know, it can be a no win situation.

I'm cofused, I don't see a C.C. Red in the 55's. Only Blue(Major) and Gray(aa). I know Blue is in Phoenix and they are playing Major.

Discussion: Info on a team

Thanks, everyone for the feed back. I've asked the T.D.'s to read these posts. We'll see what happens.
On Sept.30th there was an action taken by the ratings board, moving a 55 AAA team to Major after an investigation. So it seems the board is working. I think if players and mgrs give the board feedback on questionable teams they will look into them.

Does anyone know of a team called Travel-Lodge out of Indiana? They are entered in the LVSSA 55aaa World. They don't seem to have a 55 ranking.

Discussion: Tracking players and teams

There seems to be rules in place to MAKE teams enter a legal roster. I don't think the T.D.'s are turning a blind eye to it. If we can prove that they are then we should not play in their tournaments.
I've mentioned before about a data base of teams and players. Perhaps TD's need to hold to there registration deadlines. That should give them enough time to check their roster with that teams qualifying roster.
Why not make the entering team send a copy of there qualifying roster along with the roster for that tourney, these should all be on file anyway. Players entered on the roster could be tracked (w/data base) to see if they were on an upper division team. If they have to many you tell that teams mgr. you play up if you keep the players in question. With computers there is just no reason not to be able to track this stuff.

If I get this correct, the 3 players mentioned must be 55. Played on your 50 M+ team. They must pretty dominate playing in the 55 division.

Gary,
they did when I played "young" ball, USSSA etc. Shouldn't just be Major + players though. I don't mean hanging a tag on them for ever, but at least the previous year.

Discussion: How many Worlds can 1 team win before having to move up to the next highest division

How difficult could it be to establish a data base of all players in senior softball? They demand rosters at all events. They have the infoand records from the past, use it. Come up with a formula for how many players can return to a World Tournament roster ,regardless of team name. Example , if you have X amount of players on your roster that played on your team or anothers that won or finished 2nd in a World Tournament ,say Major, they must play in Major + Worlds the following year. This should cure the team name change that seems to confuse directors. Shouldn't be that hard for World Tournaments, they require the rosters way in advance.
I'd be interested in what the organizations think. SPA might be looking at 5, as the magic #.

Walk, I'm beginng to feel your pain. Have you asked team mgr's in your area to send letter's for you? If there fighting it then that makes it tougher, if they don't care then associations shouldn't either.AAA has a strict HR policy. How bad can you hurt the opposing team.I know your a great hitter, but you desrve to play. I wish you luck and I'll through in my two cents to SSUSA and SPA.
