Jerry 820...I want to thank you for the kind words Re: the roadrunner team. I appreciate good sportsmanship almost as much as winning. Congratulations again.

anyone know whether there will be a reebok cage/tent in vegas this weekend. have had great luck with a 27B(500 + a/b's) after cracking a pair of 26el's with less than half that total.
starting to get the U2 feeling..crushing balls then zap..zipper split.

met ed andrews for the 1st time in laughlin, where i broke a 26EL melee w/under 100 swings.
i did not buy it from him but he gave me info for a return and i received my new bat in the mail today. nice surprise. i have broken a 27 balanced (300 swings)and the now replaced 26EL to date... i use them very sparingly in BP now. the melee is not the savior of the senior circuit, but is at least as durable as the U2 w/equal crush. finally, just bats has the combat centenarian on their website with a 1 yr guarantee. upon further review, and contact w/combat, that is NOT the case. no senior bat w/a guarantee. thanks ed.

all you can ask for is that all parties be fair and reasonable...and a partial credit is both. thanks to those responsible for stepping up.

while weather cannot be controlled, in a situation like this a business must take a loss and restore a percentage of its take to the teams that showed. this can easily take the form of a credit to a future tournament. the tournament was called saturday at around 6pm, yet sunday was a sunny, dry and breezy day. with some effort it may have been possible to get some playing time.
to a lesser extent, i found it unusual that in a 4 team mixed bracket with 3 teams finishing 2W 1L the standings were based on least runs scored against for the team finishing 1st, then head to head for 2nd/3rd when 3 defeated 1.
nevertheless.....how 'bout some credit toward a future event this year! the event was a complete and utter wash and waste.

ooouch! great fields, weather, and teams,
but we had only one game start on time; that was the first game on saturday. we started at 1020 a.m. and finished our third game at 10pm. we were delayed 3 hrs
on our first sunday game, and played the championship game 2 1/2 later than projected. the championship game was limited to 4 1/2 innings. winning seemed like a consolation.
