Discussion: Players with the same number on a team

There were 3 players who had the same set of numbers, i.e. (7,7) (21,21) and (28,28)during the same game on Friday. The teams manager was made aware of this by the opposing team manger and umpire. Game continued with no changes.
2 days later, on Sunday, the same team again had same numbering problem. Again the umpire was notified with no changes were made and game continued.
If this particular rule is so inconsequential, then get of the rule.

Discussion: TOC

Not everyone had the opportunity to go or play in the TOC. It would seem that SSUSA administration would would glad that interested players, fans, or family of players would inquire about SSUSA tournaments.
Instead, they get some apparent off the cuff answer that scores are posted at the fields. Just using paper and pencil in the age of computers and the internet is antiquated and time consuming, i.e. SSUSA World tournaments seeding process!
The recent ISSA World tournament had scores posted the day of the games on their website. Nice for them to do that and I am sure it was not difficult to do.
I personally appreciate the overall job SSUSA does, however, posting scores and final results of tournaments in a reasonably quick manner would be a feather in their cap.

Not only do you need infielders, but you need to revamp your whole team, starting with the coach! Do not let winning a few trivial tournaments this year inflate your head. Be prepared for a good old spanking this weekend in the Northerns. D and D's will be out early so bring your speedos to the waterpark!!

I thought this discussion board was not a forum for disparaging remarks towards any individuals. To be called a "Rattlesnake" for asking a very appropriate question is out of bounds. Negative comments should be kept to oneself in the future!!

SSUSA Staff: Just wondering if the 55AAA bracket will be filled in? Since most of the other brackets have been completed, it would be nice to view a final completed bracket. Know your staff have been busy with the Worlds. Just wondering. Thanks!

Discussion: Fields at Hollywood Park

A lot of negative comments concerning The fields at Hollywood Park. Can anyone give some positives? Are the bases at 70 feet? I have read that at one time they were either 60 or 65 ft. It appears that we will only play the seeding games there.
Any comments that will help us in preparing to play there will be appreciated.

Paco may be interested. He may not be 55 yet, however, when he removes his hairpiece he looks all of 60!

Discussion: Northern Championships

Thanks Tim for all your work and dedication that made the Northerns at East Lansing complex very enjoyable. The fields and surroundings were well maintained and player/fan friendly. Wish the fields and surroundings at Potterville were as nice since our team will be back there next year.
One suggestion, in my opinion the Brickyard Classic should be considered as an TOC event. There are more teams and even better competition than the Northerns.
The Tidewater Classic is an TOC event and it only had 29 teams. Just a thought.
Congrats to the Bombsquad (60AAA)on winning their division. Great way to end their year!!
In conclusion, Michigan Smash will be heading to Las Vegas for the greatest senior world tournament in September. Looking forward to another great event sponsored by SSUSA.

I fell for that scam also. Purchase 2 bats and got 2 little league cheapos. They gave me the run a round for over month. Finally, got a hold of my credit card company and disputed the purchase. Got my money back within a few weeks. Good luck

Try atlaschoice.com Reserved a RAV4 from 1 OCT to 7 OCT for around 170.00. Have used them for the past year. By far the best prices and have had no hassles.

Apparently, Sparky did not get his fill of aggravation from last year with the current state of senior softball. Maybe SSUSA has changed their mission statement and is now all about the players!! Will see!!

Ditto. Realize Brickyard is not the only tourney this week, however, deadline was 16 April for registration. Had 2 weeks to set up brackets. We have players driving 6-7 hrs for this tourney and it would have been great to have game times posted earlier to make possible added accommendations, instead of waiting to the last minute, especially since some of the host hotels have been sold out for that weekend.
Despite that inconvenence, anxiously awaiting to finally play after 7 months of inactivity. Lets play some SMASH ball this weekend!!
