Our 60 team was going to play but the 60 tourny starts on Thursday. Most of our team still works and we would have to use 3 days of vacation, poor scheduling if you ask me

Amen brother!!...Dave we played in this tourny last year and one of the complexes he used was pathetic you really could'nt call it a complex. It was literally in the middle of a farm field, 2 fields & absolutely no parking. Many cars were hit by balls, no mats for home plate, no concession of any kind! and he calls this a World Tournament. If I'm spending $500 for a World Tourny you should be using the finest facilities in the area... period, no excuses!

I agree with cal50. Who wants to travel with all the expense of hotels & food to play in a 3 team tourny, its rediculous. I've played 50 major & 50 major plus... not that much diff, especially now with 50 major getting 7 hrs& 1 up. SSUSA wake up. we could stay home & play in a 15-20 team NSA D Tourny, which we can compete very well in for ALOT LESS MONEY. I'm betting the Major + guys would also rather play in a 6 or 7 team than a stupid 3 team tourny IJS. SSUSA wake up ur gonna lose teams...combine em & make it 9 hrs. get out & watch the games major+ rarely hits their limit!

Discussion: Reebok Melee

I purchased a Reebok Melee end loaded from Amazon and after the third swing i ran my hand along the barrel and thought i felt a crack... turned out to be a paint chip. I continued taking BP and after about 50 swings 2 huge areas of paint chipping had occured.I e-mailed Ed Andrews and he responded immediately and was very helpful with the return address shown above. this was my 4th senior melee, i had no problems with the others. although Ed was very helpful I decided to keep it and just hit it in BP and games till it breaks... but I am dissappointed in their quality control. that is all

There was a kid using one in league this summer he was killin it, but he usually hits good with anything. I personally don't buy used bats anymore because there are so many kids swinging dirty... i would rather spend $25 more for NIW

Discussion: Teams 2011

I play on a 50 Major team and the best team we played was Smith Laminatig out of Kentucky, those boys could play. of course we got beat twice by Rochester team out of New York in Phoenix. I believe if Smith Laminating went to Phoenix they would have done very well.
