Discussion: Dennis Wiley

Dennis Wiley passed away on Feb 16th. He played with Lights Out 55. I am Kelly, his wife. Just wanted people to know. He just started playing senior ball 3 years ago. The man lived and breathed softball. It was our life. I lost my best friend. He's in Heaven now . he's pitching on the most beautiful field there is.
God Bless Everyone

cerce. i'm 59,been playing since age 7. yes, i play twice a week with the young men.
i was nice to you, and you just want to fire back at me, like a self centered arogant a-hole. you don't know bats like the rest of us. you have now made yourself a target. your biggest fan is YOU!!! i'm sure you know the game very well, but you have made an ass out of yourself when it comes to senior ball. shut up and go home!! senior bats are 1.21 bpf!!!

i'll bet that cerce is a vey good tournament pitcher. i do think that some here, have been to harsh to him. but, reality will set in, when he plays his 1st senior tourney. i think he will be a very good pitcher, but not as dominating as he is used to. cerce, seriously, hitters will lite you up, like you've never seen.
this is why;
1 we've all been playing for 50 years.
2 we swing the hottest bats in the world.
3 you can't do as much with a 12'arc.
balls come at you so... fast. i seriously hope, you will gear up with cather leg guards and a mask. i always wear my leg guards as many pitchers do. i only rarely wear the mask, but very glad i have it. good luck to you. i wish some of the guys were as friendly on here, as they are on the field.most will not go strait up the middle, but accidents happen often. i think the guys are just having fun.

yes, i ordered and paid for a veteran bat in october of '09. it was shipped to me in january '10. it was made in china, a total dud. i hit 2 buckets off a tee, and sent it back. i was dealing with the previous owner, who told me when theygot the new factory up and running in south carolina, he would send me one of those.about 2 years went by,then steve bought the company. i was wrong on a previous post, i did not email him, i left steve a phone msg. twice around may and june.each time,he phoned me the next day.some things he shared with me,i have not, nor will i repeat. it is his business if he feels the need to share with anyone else. i will only say, that the production end need some unforseen work.
wallmart has a store in my town, and plans on building a super wallmart across the street. it was projected to open dec.'10. issues kept coming up,like drainage, rebuilding the intersection and so on.they will build it i'm sure, but things unforseen happen, even in our lives. steve is not to blame for bats ordered 2 or 3 years ago, he hasn't owned the company that long.

i have never met steve, but he did call me twice, each day after i left him an email. each time, we had a very nice conversation.i am a pretty good judge of character, and i was convinced that he had plenty!
rememember guys, it wasn't that long ago that he bought this company from bill.it was in dire shape, with many people waiting for the bats that they had paid for. he dedicated his new venture to the LORD,and changed the name of the company to honor HIM. he had no obligation to fullfill the orders of the previous company, but he has stated he would, costing him tons of money.that is character.
if i were him, i would not respond to all this nonsence. it takes time to turn a company around. things happen, things go wrong that were not expected.taits, why are you even on this post? criticizing a man you don't even know, you didn't order a bat.
how could you even say it's close to blasphemy.a believer knows what blasphemy means-- not even close! many believers dedicate there homes and businesses to the LORD. my brother dedicated his deisel repair shop to HIM on the day he opened. i've dedicated my home to the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS. many, many believers do."for we walk by faith, not by sight, sayeth the LORD". he is a good and honorable man, give him a chance.

for all of you who have so easily bashed and criticizes, are you man enough to state here as well, that you were WRONG,once the GOD'S sports company proves that they are men of their WORD??? i say you won't. you have no problem condeming men that you don't even know, yet are not man enough to admit you were wrong. SAY it! give your WORD, if it means anything to you, that you will admit HERE, that you were WRONG!! some of these questions you are asking are rediculous.( the ceo, adress, experience, the feel,.....) it is sickening to read some of your post.
i back this man and his company 100%,and i have never met him in person. i also trust 100% in GOD ALMIGHTY, and i have not met him in person. "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD"

steve mckinlay called me today. he is the owner of gsc bats. i have spoken with him twice now, asking for an update for an estimated time of delivery for my veteran bat. he fully expects the bats will be shipped out before the end of this month. if you send him an email or leave a msg.,he WILL get back to you. i have never met him personaly, but will say that he is a good man with much character and integrity. he honors his word and lives by faith in the LORD. the g in gsc bats, stands for GOD. to me,as a man of faith, that means alot! if you feel like you need to bash him on here, why don't you just talk to him instead. toll free 1-888-459-7040, or steve@gscbats.com
he says the veteran bat will out perform any bat on the market. i believe him!

to steve's credit, i did leave him a msg. a few months ago, and he called me the next day. i do believe he is of good caracter and a man of his word. i fully believe that he will make it right with all who have been waiting for their bats that have already been paid for. i called him yesterday and left a msg. i do expect him to call back monday.it has been quite an ordeal, but some of the problems were not his fault, and some were unexpected. soon, we will all be happy. i just thought maybe one of you who are waiting, might have got an update from steve. when he calls me, i'll pass on the 411. dennis

Discussion: Any work from you "buyers" on the Veteran Core Bat

PACO, no need to tell taits to bug out, that's not very considerate. taits is on this board alot, and treats people with respect. i enjoy and appreciate his imput. he has wisdom. i bought the veteran bat in sept. of '09.it was a dud and i sent it back.i was offered the newer version 2 piece, but declined, as bill gates said a better version would be made in the u.s. in a few months. i've waited a long time. i left steve a msg. 2 or 3 months back, he called me the NEXT MORNING. he sounds like a man of his word, and i do believe he will send my bat on the 1st shippment. as i recall, he said the MIDDLE OF MAY.

Discussion: I never dreamed it would be this hard to start playing again.

i'm 58,and a pitcher. both of my hips are titanium.i've had two lower back surgeries,i severed both rotater cuffs in my shoulders, with a total reconstruction in the left one. my back hurts alot, all the time.two surgeries on my left hand. i quit playing with the young guys after '09, and started playing senior tourneys 10 months later. i'm the slowest runner on the team.the only way i can still play is, i never quit. it hurts me to play but i love this game and enjoy the comoradery with the team.i'm hoping to play into my 70's. i know i'm gonna pay for it down the road but, I LOVE TO PLAY SOFTBALL!!!

yes,we are LIGHTS OUT 55AAA. this is our 1st year.
we recently added 2 players to the team, who didn't qualify with us. we are not going to st. george this year, as 2 more of our original players now can't make it. i believe a team can add up to 3 players that didn't qualify with the team. we would have to add 4, and the deadline is very soon.
