I am forming a new 50 major team....we will represent fallen military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice. I am a retired Marine and we have several other former military on the team as well. Being prior military is NOT a prerequisite. I am looking for middle infielders and a pitcher who can back up our reg pitcher but play another position as well. If interested text Odie at 6024304702. The team name will be 4 The Fallen II. I used to coach 4 The Fallen out of AZ, but retired and miss being on the field and having that camaraderie associated with it. You are eligible if you are 49 and turn 50 after Nov of 2018.

Discussion: 4 DAYS NOW FOR VEGAS MASTERS?

Why is the Vegas Masters now 4 days??? Doesn't SSUSA realize that it is difficult for 50/55's who are not yet fully retired to take 2 DAYS OFF OF WORK just to go to a softball tournament? Why not just limit the number of teams allowed in each division and make it a first signed up first allowed in. You don't make the cut off you don't get in? Keep it at 3 days like it has always been. Just SSUSA wanting more money from more teams...I hope they realize they are going to lose teams by doing this because it is difficult and costly for players to take off 2 days of work just to play softball!!!!

Discussion: TOC LAST WEEKEND

Dave and staff....another well organized well run tourney...with beautiful weather...wish you would go back to the shirts instead of a medal that is just going to go in a drawer though....and next year nix the Mrs. Senior Softball thing...it has NOTHING to do with softball and made the banquet even longer...that was the consensus of the conversation I was overhearing from other tables and out table included. Overall though....great job Dave!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Ron Parra, Lorinda, and the rest of the staff for a very well run tourney this past weekend in Silver City, NM. That was the first time we had ever played there and will definitely be back! You other teams that are anywhere close need to go also. The fields are all turf and some of the nicest fields we have ever played on. I also want to mention that was one of the best umpiring crews (at least in our games) that we have ever had and whoever sets up the umps for the Vegas, St George and Winter World Tourneys...you need to use these guys (KC think that is you my devil dog friend). So, great fun, great competition with classy ball players and GREAT WEATHER!!!

First of all right out of the gate I want to say thanks Dave for putting on another fantastic senior softball tournament! All of your staff was nothing less than professional as usual. All of the teams that we played showed nothing but class and their enjoyment and dedication to the game as we tried to do as well! I want to congratulate Patrick and the OG team (a fun and great bunch of guys) for double dipping Showtime (also a great bunch of ball players and gentleman) and winning it all! See u guys in Florida at TOC in Feb 18 Patrick! Congrats to all the teams, we enjoyed playing all of you! Now for the negative stuff which is very fixable and very minor first of all the bases need to be secured they cost one of my guys a torn hamstring and they are dangerous to try to run on because they come off very easy! Second major and major plus division teams should not be playing at BLD the fences are too short and especially using the rock ball every time you hit a homerun it was nearly nonretrievable my team spent 80 extra dollars on balls not including the six we were initially given! The umpiring crew did the best job that they could yes they missed calls yes sometimes their judgment is not correct butů They are human and they make mistakes and we need to be able to realize that they have a very difficult job and they cannot make both sides happy when they make a call! I thought they all did a fantastic job! So all in all the weekend was pretty fantastic except on Saturday when I was driving back to my hotel where my wife was waiting I got T-boned by a taxi cab so I'm still in Vegas getting my jeep damage assessed and a rental car to drive back to Phoenix since it is unsafe to drive LOL!!!

Discussion: Spring World Championships in Mesquite

Just finished the weekend Spring Worlds in St. George at the Canyons Complex. One of the most beautiful complexes I have ever seen or played on. Don Reddigg, as usual did a fantastic job as did KC and his umpiring staff. We always enjoy coming up there to play ball and Don runs a fantastic tournament. I just wanted to say that all of the 50 Major teams that we played against all had class and sportsmanship above and beyond and we enjoyed the weekend very much! It is always fun to travel to play ball and even more fun when you are playing against great players with great attitudes. Thanks again SSUSA, Don, his wife, and KC for running a great tourney...Bert, Coach, 4TF!
