Tater...Thanks for the kind words. Everyone missed you in N.C. (teammates and adversaries). I hope to see you out there again soon.

Go slow with the knee. I rushed my comeback after getting cut in February, reinjured the knee. and missed most of the season as a result.

MK...Being relatively new to the senior scene, and being somewhat antisocial until I get to know people, I have no Idea who is who. Sorry.

It appears that your prediction about multiple champions was right on the money. Cinderella seasons like we had last year come few and far between. We are done for the year. I'm broke!!!!!!

I should be able to earn enough to attend the SPA & SSWC Winter Nationals, but it will be with next year's team.

Good luck to all the Senior teams still in the hunt for a championship.

Turn Two/Recko/County Sports won the 55 major plus. I was told that they won the final 21 to 0. Congrats to a dominant team in that division.

I think that the run does "not" score, as it was a double play with a force out at first on the returning runner. Not positive though.

Bruce..That is correct Al Estes Bail Bonds is ASA Champs. They beat us 19 to 17 in the "if" game. They played great defense with the wind blowing in, and that was the difference. We were home team,n and trailed by 2 going into the bottom of the 7th, First two guys singled. so we had 1st and 2nd with no outs. At that point, I was confident that we would at least tie it. Then, BAM!! TRIPLE PLAY!!!!!!!! Congrats to the boys from Florida for a very Well deserved Championship.

Congratulations to Kelly's on their victory in Des Moines, and congrats to Damon's as well. Your two teams were the class of the 50's.

I have two questions. Who made all tourney in the Major plus, and what the heck were those new combats that Kelly's was swinging? Those things were "more" than just hot. Holy crap!!

Tater...OK, Thanks. I'll take long odds on whether the associations themselves are all on the same page on this issue.

MK....Your question above was directed at Pine Knob, but in this thread you refer to asking me. Be that as it may, I can say unequivocally that our team has absolutely no snowbirds on the roster.

Bruce & Tater...Wouldn't that rule mean that the Pine Knob team in Cullman had a bunch of illegal players, seeing as how they played for stafford in the ISF.

Here's another question, and I'll use Kelly's Sports as an example.
They didn't play in (and I assume they never registered for) the ISF, SPA, & NSA. Why wouldn't another Cali team (like the Mavericks) that was playing in one of these associations be able to pick up a guy or two who normally play for Kelly's. What I'm trying to say is that "If your regular team doesn't even belong to an association, why should you not be able to play with another team?
things are starting to get like a Chunky bararound here, thickerer and thickerer.

Bruce...This is the 1st that I have heard about the frozen roster from organization to organization.
Since the SSWS has such different geographical guidelines than the others, how can they possibly do it. Do you remember the source of that information, and if so could you pass it on to us, the less enlightened?

MK...Can't help on identifying your man. I'm usually pretty oblivious to the other team when I'm playing without coaching. The only Gary I know is the power hitting pitcher, who was definitely there, and made his presence felt. They had 20 men there, so it was kind of a blur of black and gold.

Maybe this weekend I'll be singing "Please Mr. Custer, I don't wanna go!"

As for the NSA title, thanks for the props. And like a true Sox fan, I can say next year is a year away, and we'll be the champs until then.

See ya in Kansas

Bruce...Guilty as charged on the singing, but don't tell anyone. I don't want to ruin my tough guy image. Those were your ladies?
All the trash that we were talking about you while you were playing Knob, and they never said a word. True Southern Belles, as genteel as the day is long. You are lucky fellas.

Bruce, Thanks for the props. You guys are to be congratulated as well. That was one heck of a comeback against that beefed up Pine Knob squad. The merging of Pine Knob & Stafford will make for a very potent lineup, and I know that they will be very, very tough when they gel. I think that MK is right about there being a lot of different 50 major + champions this year. The field seems extremely competitive.

On a personal level, congratulations to you on your MVP selection. You played great. Sheeesh, talk about a hitting machine. See you in September.
