Discussion: SOUTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIPS - Women’s 50s Divisions

Rmp0012002 the problem is 2 of the teams were recently dropped from major to AAA and are just as competitive at least w our team which is major. We just played them in a LVSSA tourney and they were 1 run games. Now that leaves us w only 2 major teams that tend to play SSUSA so that makes every tourney best of 3 on Sunday against each other in any tourney in the west coast? What fun is that? ZERO! There's no draw for other teams to come out here from the Midwest or east coast accept for World's and in other sanctions were all grouped together. If we were blowing other teams out I could see splitting us up but we're not doing that. If we spot runs that would be better than nothing maybe but there's no reason for it when we're playing 1 run games

We just played one of the teams that was just dropped and it was a 1 run game. This is crazy. There's a 40s team Ive recently played against in aaa that should be moved up to 40s Major after rolling over teams the last 2 tourneys I've seen them at and they're still AAA. This makes no sense. What a waste

Discussion: Field change 50s

Our team travel arrangements already booked and confirmed for Glendale area and now we're an hour away. Do to field assignment changes we need to attempt to change travel arrangements. Some ladies were staying w local teammates due to financial difficulties. We need to confirm this isnt going to change again and hopefully we can make other arrangements. Traffic is horrrrrrrible going to Mesa from the west side of the Phoenix area during rush hour on Friday.

QPG25 ... only so much you can do when fields aren't available. The parks here in Az are slowly opening. The ones that are open have everyone scrambling to get them. Fastpitch, little league, utrip, asa GSL, WSL ...men's women's coed. Pretty sure that was the issue not moving everybody to St. George as well.

Hey Dave.. question on fields... any idea if womens might be held at victory since there's only a dozen teams at this point? There's a good hour plus drive between parks. There's a few of us that can accommodate a good part of our team if so.

Yeah my friend said they're having a hard time finding fields just to practice at. They're going to Utah almost every weekend into December. They have 1 tourney in Lake Havasu and 1 in Kingman other than that. She said teams have been getting fined otherwise

Curious about 50s still being in schedule for Vegas. One of my friends lives in Vegas and her boys play baseball and she said they're locked down in Vegas and surrounding towns until November 1

Discussion: New glove

I have 2 AZGM custom gloves. Ive had Rawlings, Easton, Nokona, Louisville Sluggers. I absolutely love these. Excellent quality leather... they take some time to break in but they're great. Ive got several teammates that have them as well along with other ladies I play against. Fred Fimbres is the guy to talk to. He's in Az. He has several pictures on Facebook or contact him at Azgloveman.com. They run 150-195ish. Depending on if you want embroidery or not.
