Neck we have not been to vegas in 3 years and finished mybe 16th we had 1 player go last year and played with a major but we were still a AAA team and he went with them because they didn't have a pitcher. I appreciate your come back but like I said before I tried to go to ussa first found email area I thought but would not let me go to it so posted probably should have checked a little farther but as stated before have corresponded with George and that is as far it will go.

I have communicated with George and have had good information. Neck thank you for your information but we are lucky to hit 1 home run in most tournaments. I know that they say a good hitting team is good but how can you compete when a team with players that can hit homers at the time they need to be not solos. I know you are suppose to go out and get those type of players but this team is a lot like playing with family and therefore we do the best we can. This will be the last time that I will post anything about the problem and I hope that we can still play ssusa someday.

I heard some disturbing news the other day and finally decided to comment instead of letting it go. This statement was made by a regional directors at our team and the statement said as long as I have anything to do with it you will play major ball in ssusa but we are rated AAA in all other associations. I would of thought by now that he would have let things go from the past and just play ball but it does not look like it. The team several years ago was a major team with the players they had. But the new team has 13 of the 15 players are AAA the other two played with another team that was a major team and it clearly states you can have 3 but these players are not homerun hitters just good players. But since the director has a problem with a few players on this team he will not ever let us play AAA and that is very selfish attitude. We have tried to get rerated but have been turned down each time so we have not even been able to play in over 3 years and I thought that you were rated AAA when you started again. It just seems that ssusa does not look at the other associations and would not even consider the appeal even after we sent all the information because of this previous problem. Just to include this comment was heard by several other people.

Discussion: Please Forgive My Naivete!

I have had the pleasure of playing with 3 guys for 14 years and the rest of my old team for 10 years before going to another team with guys that I have played against for those 14 years. My old team was like family and We still have a good time seeing each other and doing things together. My new team is so much like the old one it made me feel good when they offered me the chance to play with them since my old team wanted to stay down. Both teams are very good teams and win more than they lose, but when we lost we hated it, but got over it because we knew there would be another day and we would try it again. We should all feel lucky that we are able to go out and play this game we all love to play at our age and hope that the new players will enjoy the experience like we do in there years to follow. Like some have said when you are young it is all about winning everything but as you get older it is important but the most important is the fact we are able to have great fiends, and we are still able to go out on the diamond and play the game we all love to play.

Happy New Year
See you on the field

I guess I should have said he throws his glove and hits the ball keeping it from going over the fence or the player throws his glove that is on the ground and hits the ball what do you have. I was told that you have a 3 base mockery of the game and the player was warned that the next time it was and ejection.

What would happen if the ball does not go over the fence what I have heard is it is a 3 base award from when the ball was touched and from where the runner was at the time of contact is this correct.

B.K. We can see that you were also done wrong and I agree with you that you should have been able to play as you won the right to play and you could have won or lost but at least you had the chance to play for a title.

taits just a quick question defense helps you stay in the game but offense wins and if your team has no consistant home run power how do you combat the home run that is hit with players on and a team is not going to get all there runs each inning in most cases. I know you say pick up these players but when you play with guys that you enjoy playing with why should you be forced to do this and put in another class. I think that there is no reason to move this team at the current time and like stated before they should be able to compete AAA and just see how they do in the Nationals before rating and she how they stack up against the teams up North and West and the East as there are teams doing the same as this team.

Discussion: TEAM PENALIZED FOR GODD DEFENSE AND PITCHING

I would like to ask a question if a team has only hit 5 hrs in that many games what would make you think that this team could come close to hitting 6 in a game and this team has played almost the same teams at all the tournaments. This team has over 80 per cent of its players that have never played anything other than AAA ball and one player that played 1 tournament last year for a Major team that had lost there pitcher before going to Vegas so why playing one tournament makes him Major I dont understand and they didnt win anything. So what about the teams up north and out west that are finishing 1st or 2nd in all the tournaments that they are playing, why are they not moved up and made to compete at the next level or are they going to give them a chance to compete in the Nationals and see how they do. If so why not give this team the same oppertunity to do the same. I would like to see a team overcome the 6hrs per game with just base hitting or even if the team hits 3 a game there is now way a team can score that many runs to over come especially if for some reason that they didnt score 5runs per inning or will it be seven. So dont just single out this team without checking the stats for these other teams in other areas before judging this team.

Discussion: Who Will Be Participating in the Southern Championships in Birmingham?

The NSA nationals in July had 7-70s teams I believe but did not have 50s as they had played the week before in Dalton. Had a great tournament hope that more will come next year.

Since the major and major plus SPA is the weekend before should have only AAA and AA teams to play and since this is there nationals it should be level playing field. Have good fields and usually a very good place to play.

Discussion: Why are teams not rated the same in USSA SPA ISSA

Perl glad to read your answer and like most it seems it would be so simple to correct this but as has been stated so many times we love to compete and whenever we can we play. But one day we will wake up and support the ones that are correctly rating the teams and everyone will have a chance to win and move up when they can. Like you stated above ISSA is the worest but when there is nothing else going we play as we are all a bunch of softball junkies.
