Discussion: Senior Woomen's Softball Camp

Senior Women Softball Camp
The women's varsity team at Southwestern College will hold a fund raising one-day camp for senior women on Saturday, September 6.(Labor Day weekend). Southwestern College is located in San Diego. The cost is $100 and it will include: drills and skills in the morning, lunch/lecture from a trainer about preventing injuries, and a mini-tournament with prizes in the afternoon. Southwestern College is a community college. Most of the softball team members work study and play ball. The fund raiser will help them to purchase equipment and continue to update their dugouts. It'll be a fun experience, a great way to help the team and to get ready for the Huntsman Games! If interested, please contact Pat Kelly at patrons@mac.com.

I play with a guy who has sewn athletic cups into his t-shirts to protect his defibrilator.I thought that was a clever solution!

Discussion: lasik

Thanks, Stoneman. I tried monovision with contacts, but I didn't like it that much for playing. I've been playing with contacts for distance, but the ball still gets fuzzy. I don't mind wearing glasses for reading, but I'd love to play ball without contacts. Thanks for your input. I think I'll make an appointment.

We're going to Louisville for the Senior Olympics and the softball fields are close to Ft. Knox. Does anyone have any suggestions about where to stay? What is downtown Louisville like? Would it be worth staying in Louisville and driving to the fields each day, or would it be better to stay close to the fields? Do you know anything about Elizabethtown?
