Does your batting power diminished with age?

Of course it does...

It is the primary reason for use of Senior Bats?

Far more home runs hit in the younger age groups than the 70's or 80's

Don't expect Nolan Ryan to throw a 100+ mph fastball today, like he did in his youth!

C'mon you bat geeks. Tell us if the handles of the 2 piece bats have more or less handle flex than the single piece bats.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Discussion: Original gray Miken Ultra (without center rod insert) VS. current MIken 2 piece endloads

Can somebody explain to me how the original Ultra came in different weights? If I remember correctly the Original Ultra could be bought in 26-30 ounce versions.

So where were the weights located in original Ultra if not in a rod?
Were the weights put in the end cap?

It is beyond me why hitting the long ball is such a big deal. The vast majority of hits at most every playing level, is line drives that are in the 150-250 foot range. When I see outfielders playing at or near the warning track when I'm batting, I know they are making it much easier for me to get the line drive hit. While the long ball is nice, the high average hitters get the majority their numbers from line drives.

"There's a sucker born every minute" is a phrase most likely spoken by David Hannum, in criticism of both P. T. Barnum, an American showman of the mid 1800s, and his customers.

Would it be Bat Altering if you sprayed that 3M stuff on the barrel of the bat?

Do you have to "SHOUT" your posts by using Capital Letters?

Also you need to work on your spelling!

Discussion: Bat Weights & Bat Doughnuts

There is something that was NOT MENTIONED OR EXPLORED IS HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR BAT SPEEDS TO RETURN TO NORMAL?

I do the heavy bat, light bat work out.

Also I use a bat speed meter.

I have noticed that after I use the heavy bat the speeds of the light bat do go down.

However after taking about 10-20 swings with my regular bat......

My swing speeds SEEM to return to normal.

So I believe that while there is a drop in bat speeds after using a weighted bat it is not permanent and will return to normal in a short time. But probably not in the short time it takes to get from the on deck circle to the batters box.

What are the serial numbers of the second batch?
How can I identify the difference between the first and second batch?

Discussion: Bat swing, analyzing it

This product looks interesting.

I like to hang my pinky finger off the end of the bat. Does this thing get in the way or prevent me from doing that?

Do you feel it has made a big difference in you swing?

Is it worth the money?

What are some of the pros and cons of the product?

Any info or personal experience you can provide would be appreciated.

To: Surf and Tri

I am interested in purchasing a Reebok Barrage 27 oz.

But after reading the posts above I will only purchase the Reebok Barrage that has a serial number other than v55660.

When you get such a bat in stock, please mention it on this Message Board. I will then contact you.

Thanks

You asked Bubblegum " why is there a disclaimer on EVERY senior bat that said may cause serious harm or even death on it ?"

EXPLAIN TO ME WHY I SEE THAT SAME DISCLAIMER ON MY MIKEN FREAK 1.20 BAT?

Lots of non-senior bats have similar disclaimer stickers on them!

Most any BPF 1.21 Senior Bat will do. It just depends on how comfortable you feel with the bat.
