Discussion: UII, UII Legacy, Launch 510 Durability Issue

AZ SENIOR: I have hit several diff' types of RIP-IT BATS, & 4 myself, I am NOT IMPRESS w/ the RIP-IT.

I went on line to look up the RIP-IT BAT. RIP-IT, is a Womens fast pitch site. The RIP-IT Company, appears to be out of Fla.

The products & ads were mostly show' Fast Pitch Bats & items model by women.

Here is the RIP-ITS phone number: (407) 464-3764. In the process of look' up RIP-IT, I came across Bill Gates, out of Az. Bill, was try' to sell 6 of his women's Fast Pitch Bats. Bill, also, listed several of the teams that (he) was coaching.

I will call a "friend" @ SGMA, & others to find out if RIP-IT or ...... is mak' the RIP-IT BAT.

AZ SENIOR....I hope that all Senior Bats are NOT made. But, as long as Senior Bats are LEGAL, I hope that RIP-IT or others do, do well..... Again 4 me, the RIP-IT BATS, break in less than 150 swings & just DO NOT produce 4 me.

GOOD LUCK ...... The STONEMAN

HOMBRE: I have hit w/ several players that have a 26 oz & a 30 oz Legacy. Both bats have over 400 swings. It appears that both bats are start' to break in.

We have been hit' in 60-70 degree weather. The balls are a true 44 cor 400 comp ball. It appears that this "NEW" Ultra, takes awhile to break in. As far as distance, this bats appears to be as good an a SENIOR COMBAT.

Still not sure if the Legacy, is as good as a U-2??? Distance whiz...

On the subject of todays SOFTBALLS.... I have been told that the balls that were r us' r a lil' bigger & a lil' heavyer.

The ol' STADIUM BALLS, were smaller & NOT as big. This is why, todays bats r break' due to the larger & heavyer balls.

GOOD LUCK..........The STONEMAN.....

Discussion: LOOK' to buy a Wilson A1695 XXXL Softball Glove.

DOC NORM: The team in question went 0 & 5. For a team to be rated Major Plus, that team must have a mim' of 5 M+ players on that teams roster.

If, a Major team, AAA, or AA team wins a World & or several "big" events dur' the course of a yr, that team is to be moved up into the next higher level.

Another point, a 58 yr ol' Major Plus player, is allowed to play in the 50's Majors. A 60-65, yr ol', can drop down into the 55's & play either major or M+, so, on, etc, etc.

A 55+, 60+, or 65+ ol' player can play down 1 division. But, if, a 55+, 60+, or 65+ is play' down in Major Plus, that player must play in the older division as a Major Plus player. In other words, said player can NOT play in AAA or AA.

Hope that this maybe of help.....The STONEMAN..

DIRECTIONS to HOLLYWOOD COMMUNITY CENTER (PARK). This park is on the far East side of Vegas. HCC, is located @ the base of Sunrise Mountain.

One can get off 93-95 @ Charleston. Travel East on Charleston to the street Hollywood. @ this time, take a right turn. One will be traveling South bound. After going a few blocks, one will c a School, a Community Center, a Fire Station, & the Ball Fields. This park - Community Center is on the side.)

One last note.... it has been in the upper 80's most of this wk. This is a new park, less than 6 yrs old. One may want to bring something to drink.

REPSOL 404: Nov, is the start of a new yr. New teams will be form' & ol' teams will be reload'.

Beware of the doulbe talk' MGRs. There r many teams out their, that the MGR, will not release players. Before u sign & become part of a team, ask around.

Once a player has signed a roster, that player is stuck on that team. If, that team folds, than that player is released.

If, a player wants to leave a team, that player must get his MGR to release him. If, a player moves out of that region, said player, can ask SPA or SS-USA 4 HIS OR HERS RELEASE.

As far as ones ability... AAA teams r allowed only 1-3 H.R.s. @ the start of each new season, New teams r rated AAA, min. A team can request to be rated as a Major or Major Plus team.

This wkend, the Major Plus teams will be @ Victory Park on Friday. Saturday, Major Plus will be play' @ "Rosebud" Park.

If, u r new to this site, click on the top left area. Where is says.... " USSA HOME.' Then, look to the right & click on the 50's & one can find which teams & divisions r play; game times; & @ which Parks.

Hope this helps. Dur' this past yr, several players have wanted to leave a team & where forced to set the rest of the yr out. WHY?? The MGR, of that player teams, would not release that player....

GOOD LUCK..... The STONEMAN

T-REX: Thanks.. Tyrell, I thought plays out of Fla. Was ur roommate Jay?

It would be nice if, Seniors just used ISA / U-TRIP Bats.

When players r in their late 60's, who, cares about bat weight or if, a U-11, is used.

GOOD LUCK..... HOGG'

Discussion: TECH' INFOR on COMPOSITE BATS & REACTION TIME.

T-REX: Last wk, I saw one of the best hitters, hit 2 pitchers. I do NOT believe that player ment to hit either pitcher.

As far as H.R.'s, how many Seniors use a 25, 26, 27 or 28 oz bat? Resent lab results "points to " the increase in Batted Ball Speeds, r the results of the lighter bats. As per the test results, BBS, has increased by 8%, due to the lighter bats.

Also, many Balls that r be' used r mislabeled. If, u think that this statement is wrong, than why, did the Decker Ball, get the ax in ISA? (This is one ball MFG. Other Ball MFG's, over the yrs, have done the same.)

Why, do Seniors need bats that weight is less than 30oz? When we (Seniors) were in our 20's & 30's, we were us' 34 to 38 oz bats?

A proper Ball, a good Bat, & practice. That's all most of the Seniors want. Someday, I hope the Summit, will get rid of "HOT" balls & "Senior Bats."

I do have a 75 yr ol' friend, that will hit 1 or 2 H.R.'s in a Tourney w/ Senior Bats... YES, c' a man that ol' w/ Knee replacement, hit Home Runs, is still a great site.

Will the desire to hit a H.R. ever end? Is this a bad desire 4 men that r in their "GOLDEN YRS?"

Hope to c u boys in Az.

Wood Bats & Cork Balls, make a better team. I believe that Kevin, w/ Anaconda Sports can verify this fact.

Discussion: LVSSA - how Not to run a tournament

DC PETE: I did some research on the 1 & 1 count. Less than 5 minutes is saved. @ LVSSA, W/ 2 strikes, it had to be fair.

Most 1 & 1 counts, W/ 2 strikes, batters get 1 to waste or foul off. So, what is the diff'?? Many have also, played in the 1 ball & no strike counts.

Teams need to: 1) hustle in & out 2) teams need to get the couresty runner, to base much faster 3) UMPs, want more money & only 60 minute games. LVSSA, paid Umps $ 23 / game. 4) open innings, can take up to 20 to 30 minutes. @ Freedom Park, 2 yrs ago, I saw 19 & 21 runs scored in the same inning. 5) Major Plus gets 7 runs / inning & the other 3 divisions get 5 runs max / inning. I have played in a few Worlds inwhich Major Plus division had 1 1/2 hr time limit & all innings were open.

Friday, what time was the last games? Why, was only 3 fields used @ Lorzini?? Could the ladies Not have played on field # 1. Saturday, games were over w/ 2 to 3 hours left before the sun set. ( Lorzini, Freedom, etc)

Thanks, but, I do NOT use a U-2. Solution(s)???? Pay more 4 Umps... Start @ 7:30 am..... HAVE MORE FIELDS
MORE FIELDS.......PERIOD

GOOD LUCK...... The STONEMAN

Discussion: LVSSA - how Not to run a tournament

BREEZE 53... BOB: Is there a problem?? Why, did ur team pick up 2 AAA players & not release players that did not want to play 4 CJ & S??

This yr I hope the SUMMIT passes a rule, (as if, SENIOR SOFTBALL, needs more rules,) that if a team picks up players from the same division, that team must give any play a release, that wants to leave that team. The team that picked up players.

Why, did ur team get player released & not released 2 of ur players?? How many players has ur team gone thru?? How many players this yr has ur team "pick up" that got released.

1) UMPS-- ISA & NSA, will not run any more Senior Tourneys in Vegas, or let their UMPs work works LVSSA. ASA's UMPs, will not do any LVSSA tourneys. ASA's Umps suied LVSSA & lost. USSSA, does not belong to the SUMMIT any more. NOT sure if, USSSA, does any more Senior Events.

2) So games fell behind, that does happen in most Senior events. Least u did not have to play in a 2 pitch inning.

3) Field 1 @ Lorinzi, is a joke. But, next yr, both Freedom & Lornizi will be down 4 two yrs. LVSSA, will meet w/ the City & go over the field needs, etc. The ball was dropped, yes, but, by who??? Move on. Most of the LVSSA CLUB Members do have the ears burn'.... LVSSA, put this event on several yrs ago, because Seniors wanted to come to Vegas, this time of yr.

4) J J's Concession Stand.... that is run by the "CITY". I believe that the concession is leased. LVSSA, can not make this Stand work. @ Freedom, that Concession Stand is ran by the Lil' League. The lil' bi...., does just whay she wants to, & she is one nasty ........

@ the corners of Washington & Pecos & Bonanza & Pecos, there is two 7-11's, a Food 4 Less, a Rotten Ronnies, a few bars. NO FOOD.........

O, one of the N.J. connections, tells me that u r one of the nicer men in Senior Ball & CJ &S.

Balls & Strikes.... everyone misses a call. I told an Ump that is was a ball & that Ump, did change his call ( I was catch'.)

DC PETE: How much time do u think that the 1 & 1 will save? As a Major Plus player, in 8 games, we went 6 innings. One 5 inning & one 7 inning. The 5 inning game, we scored 54 runs & hit 29 Home Runs in that game..

A 1 & 1 count saves only about 10 minutes. Save time?? Get the batter in the Batter Box w/ in 60 seconds. Get ur stop watch out & start tim' some of the innings changes. offense to Defense, back to O'.

This Tourney, was poorly ran.. The STONEMAN.....
