Nor-Cal 50 AAA, 8 out of 12 slide on this team, sliding shorts and double knees keep the rashes to a very bare minimum.

HJ they are both 1.21, Ordered them at the same time. Don't know to keep hitting this thing in practice to see if it will come in or make a call and see what they have to say. The other bat came right in after 30 or so swings.

I am one of those that have had plug issues on the 2010 centenarian, Tried all different types of glues and silicones with no luck, Then I got this stuff from 3-M called 5200, so far so good, 25 swings on it and no movement of the cap and the bat is as hot as ever! Lowes has this stuff for 18 bucks a tube. Just clean both pieces and apply a liberal amount, set it in something that will keep the plug pressed in tight and walk away from it for seven days, (cure time).

I bought one of the grey mikens with the red knob,SPU2P,27 balanced, not very impressed, 250 practice swings and nothing, and yes I keep close count, still waiting for something to happen, two other team mates have the same bat and they opened right up so I dunno, mines a log.

I agree with mad dog, have 500 plus on a mid load centenarian and no cracks, did have a plug come loose but reglued, That was a 2010 model and they have since fixed that issue!

Hey mad dog, I am very happy with the combat, for now that is all I will buy! I have owned both of the mikens red/black and broke both with less than 70 swings on them, While some swear by the miken, they just dont stay together for me!

Combat Centenarian,
All you have to do now is figure out a way to keep the plugs in at 500 plus...still a good bat

Just to let everyone know I took about 10 cuts with the reglued endcap and for now looks like it is holding fast! Good deal!
I used permatex ultra black silicone, spread very thin around cap and tapped it back into place! Time to order another one of these and get it broke in!

Discussion: Combat Centenarian

About a year ago I purchased one of the Combat Centenarian (black/blue)balanced bats. And as promised earlier I said I would post its progress.
The bat WILL not out hit an ultra 2, but it did outlast it! After about 550 swings the end cap came about halfway out! I reglued it and will take some cuts with it at practice to see if it will stay together.
To me the Combat is very solid and hits very well and would recomend it, I had a midload ultra 2 and it cracked With less than 75 wings, I also had the ultra 2 endlloaded and it also broke...no more ultras!
I know there are alot of people swinging ultras and have very good luck with them, but I just cannot get along with that bat, and the combat is not that far behind an ultra in performance! So If I can get 500 plus swings out of a 200 dollar bat i'm the happiest guy in the world!

I purchased a Centenarian a few months back. have a hundred fifty swings or so on it, 50 of them out of a bucket, does not hit like the black ultra at all but has already outlived it, which is why I bought it hoping it would last, so far so good, very happy with the performance, as for me it still hits 330ft or so and thats plenty, I would recommend this bat, I know a lot of big guys have good luck not breaking the Mikens but I just dont have any luck keeping them together, hope this helps with your decision.

Is that why they sound like a rock in a soda can when the epoxy fails? And why would anyone want to dr. a senior bat? Most of them I have swung are wicked enough!!!

I agree with Omar, Durability on these composite senior bats suck, anybody that effectively uses their hips to generate torque in their swing will tear up ANY of these composite bats in 75 swings or less! However the old demarini's,lighthouses, ESTs,cryo bats they were not much better! Buying 2-3 d walls a year at 300 bucks a pop just to have them look like fly swatters, but at least the defense was a part of the game! Its still a lot of fun to play but......

TOP 10 ASA BATS (according to Kelly's)

1. Worth 454 Filthy Midload

TIE 2. Worth Mayhem 98 Orange Original

TIE 2. Miken Super Freak 98 Midload

3. Miken Freak FX 700 Supermax

4. Miken Freak FX 700 Balanced

5. Worth 454 Toxic Balanced

This is 5 of the top 10 asa bats on Kelly's, I dont know about the synergys but there are a lot of them out there. I really dont know who to trust anymore but these guys at kelly's so far have treated me right. I personally bought the #1 bat on this list, there are three of us on the team swinging it, takes a bit to break in but for now am very happy with it for asa play!

Sounds like maybe someone has the answer to all these breakage problems! If I could just get a bat to last one season I would be happy. Got my Centenarian yesterday but have not had a chance to swing it yet. I WILL keep everyone updated!

No more mikens for me until they can figure out their durability issues, 56 swings on the black miken and its now in the trash!

I wouldn't buy any miken until they can figure out a way to make them LAST! 56 swings in 75 degree weather and broke it right in the sweet spot, lets quit buying them until they can show some durability!
