Richard Gomez- The General
I just heard from USSSA director Doug Stark that softball coach and player Richard Gomez better known as the General died yesterday. I had not talked to him in past year but always enjoyed his calling me and his plans to build a field of Dreams park. I hope in Heaven he now has that field. Interesting guy who put alot of us guys together in Phoenix area to play ball.GI

Real sorry to hear about the General. My prayers for his family and loved ones...I played for him out of Tempe in the late 80's, and always loved our times together... he will be missed...Thanks for posting.
