SPA in Plano
Played in the 60AA this weekend, did not do well. but I thought it was a very balanced tourney. Not a lot of HR's in any of our games. I heard that one of the teams in AA did play AAA in the NSA tourney, how would that happen?? I did see a few teams in the 60AAA that might be Major, any time you see a lot of home runs thats not a AAA team. As I have said before AAA needs to be like AA x number of HRs and then an out, with no penalty for HR's teams can load up on big hitters and play down. I did not get back out Sunday anyone have results for the 60aa and AAA

Red,

Lex Jazz Club from Milwaukee won the 60AAA. I believe a team from Bettendorff, IA (Hidden Hills?) won the 60AA.

We stunk it up so badly had to leave town immediately. Our worst playing of the year. Oh well. What happened to TopGun60's? They had a bunch of home run hitters and just rolled over everyone in pool play. As my Cubs would say, "Wait til next year". lmao. Good luck to all in Vegas.

GT,

Top Gun played the Chicago Classics in the finals of the losers' bracket. I don't remember who put them there, but it may have been Lex. Chicago beat them (Top Gun) 17-10 for the right to play Lex in the finals. Then Lex beat Chicago; I think that was also 17-10.

Sorry that we didn't get to play you guys this go round. We drew Lex, Top Gun and Prize Co. in the round robin, so we were one of the lowest seeds and got to play Lex again in our first DE game. After that we did manage to put together three wins, before Top Gun put us out Saturday afternoon.

I know we were gassed by the time we played our last game, and I could see it the following morning watching the finals. Looked like both losers were out of gas. Everyone would have benefited by having one more round of DE on Friday and one less game on Saturday.

Glad to get to meet and visit with you in person after exchanging e-mails and posts through the season. See you next year, unless you happen to be going to Pensacola or Baton Rouge.

TEXAS TRANSPLANT- the GREYHOUNDS 65'S AAA took the championship coming thru the losers bracket and winning 3 games on sunday. we had to double dip the HOUSTON WILDCATTERS in the finals. we had great competition ( 8 or 9 teams ) , any of 4 o5 teams could have won with a few clutch hits and a few less errors. we managed to do good enough to survive. see ya jim! frank

Congratulations, Frank! You guys have a great team. Guess y'all weren't out of gas, but then you're in such good shape it's almost unfair for you to play in your cronological age group.Sorry I couldn't stay to watch you finish it off.

I hope Hidden Hills won, if so they had to come through the losers bracket. They beat us in the RR 12-13 in the bottom of the 7th, best game we played. Brookes Bend and High Desert were the 2 undeafeated teams in DE Saturday. They had beated Hidden Hills and the Texas Classic. We played Greyhounds 65's and Wildcatters twice each this year and lost both, glad to see you both in the finals. We had played 2 AA teams this year until Plano. i guess playing better teams did not work for us.
