60AA Plano and 60AAA
Congrats to High Desert on the win and Hidden Hills for coming back thru the losers bracket for 2nd.
Also congrats to Hot Springs in the AAA for their run through the losers bracket to grab 4th place.
I thought the 60AA was very balanced and several teams could have won, the weather was a major factor Saturday in the losers bracket, maybe we need to cut the RR games to 2 Thursday and play at least 2 DE games on Friday. And maybe a cut in the fee. But I would rather just draw for the seeds and play a DE with a consolation bracket, playing 2 or 3 RR games is no way to seed a national tournament. That way teams will have to get all their players to a site on the first day. Hey its the nationals take an extra day off.

Red. I agree. Congrats to all that showed up and played and special Congrats to the winners. Enjoyed playing the different teams and meeting the players. That part was terriffic. And you know this is coming. BUT, I rate this touranment a C. Due to where we played and when. Plano, McKinney are nice complexes. Playing on cement is not much fun. Playing in 103 temperatures isn't much fun either. Its the same for all, but I don't think it is necessary. Why are we playing in Plano, in August. No rain, no watering hard infields. Personally, I am not concerned with other associations and when they have their tournaments. Oh boy, will I catch hell for that one. We play mainly SPA. Don't trade Sept. for Aug. We are seniors. We don't have kids with vacations to schedule around. Play Nationals in late Sept. or early Oct. Don't let the weather help dictate games. Move the tournament someplace where its not 103 everyday. I'm ready for the attacks. I don't have to play if I don't like it. Well your right and I probably won't. Not playing a Nationals again in August in this temp. Anyone like to comment on this? I think its an important issue.

I would like to see the tournament be later, the answer is not to devide the tourneys by Major and AAA/AA. You play the 50/55's early so they can play before school starts etc. And play the 60/65's in Sept or Oct. That was we can do Plano or Oklahoma.
