Oldest Senior Participant
Two things I do not think has been discussed:
1. Who is the Oldest Player (on the board or someone you know)that participates or has participated in SSB Tournaments?

2. What Player has logged the MOST consecutive years in SSB Tournaments. How many years?

Thanks

Steve: We all fall into that category. My main intention was to give HIGH Fives to these guys. I've been in it since 99; but I know there are some 70 & 80 teams; it would be great to know who has logged the most years in SSB Tourneys.
Imagine someone in their 80's that has logged 30 years X 9(avg tourneys a year) X $300 (est) per tourney = $81,000.00 for the LOVE OF THE GAME & THE COMARADERIE!!! Awesome!!!

STEVE: Injured reserve; will not be in Montgomery.

Although his tournament days have ended, Rex Finley still plays in a senior league in Menifee California. He is 91 years young.

Good topic, Tater. Nick Ioimo was a tournament player until about 5 years ago, played three times a week in our senior league through last year, and only since Christmas is slowing down. He will be 93 next month!!! Don't know when he started playing senior ball.

I do know some men in their 80s who are still playing on a tournament team, who were active more than 30 years ago and have played tournament ball ever since.

Dick Anderson from Minneapolis is 82, Plays in the 75 and 80 divisions plus plays Monday night senior ball with the young guys (50 and up). plus plays Tuesday and Thursday morning and Wed in a senior league and i believe he plays Thursday night in a wood bat league. I know there are other senior players that play in the 80 plus Worlds on Dicks team but I believe Dick is one of the most noteable. I went and watched some of the 75's & 80's play when i was in Vegas last year and it was great. it's players, staff like them that have kept Senior ball alive so that we still can play. I hope I still am able to play at that age. Thanks for keeping the love of the game alive.
