Team Raking
Your Sims 60 team is new, but known of our players have ever played for any team raked higher them AA, so could we still be raked this year as a AA team.

Orville, I suggest you prepare a letter that states specifics and why you are asking for an exemption. Send this to the SSUSA authorities for a ruling. This forum will most probably open your legitimate request to possible feedback and/or abuse that may not be warranted.

Orv, I'll send you an email. But that's good advice from Ed which I'll reiterate.

A completely "new team", defined as one comprised of players who have never played in an SSUSA sanctioned event, starts as a AAA team, except for Men's 40-Masters teams, which start in Major. If the team is comprised of players that have played in SSUSA, the rating experience history of the individual players will determine the initial rating of the new team. If the team is a mix of former SSUSA players and new registrants, those new to SSUSA players will be considered as AAA, unless there is other available information that would indicate otherwise, such as being on an ASA or USSSA "Open Player" list, etc.

The advice offered twice already is sound: Please contact the Sacramento office and submit a proposed roster for your team and ask for an initial ruling on probable rating classification. Good luck!
