June 24, 2013 "Maint" 3 posts | Player Classifications 60major + versus 55 major I have a question. Can a guy who is playing on a 60 major team, but who is classified as a Major-plus player, play on a 55 Major team, even if that 55 major team already has 3 major+ players? In other words, isn't 60 major+ equivalent to 55 major? |

I can't wait to hear the official word from SSUSA, although IMO they'll say "he's rated Major Plus" and therefore he would become the 4th Major Plus player on a 55 Major team. The team would have to move to Major Plus. Tony Baltazar Desert Dawgs - 50 Major So Cal 55's - 55 Major |

Andy Smith, 60 Major, 55 anyone that will take me, 50 if you are desperate, 40 if I can play on a woman's team. |
June 27, 2013 SSUSA Staff 3466 posts | The hypothetical stated does not provide any information on what age group the player has with Major+ experience in his background. However, presuming that experience is with a 60-Major+ team, he would be able to play unrestricted on a 55-Major team. Both 60-Major+ and 55-Major carry a Rating Index of 7 and he may play with the 55-Major team if he is otherwise eligible as to residency. He would NOT be in the three-count of players "out of rating". Hope this helps! |
