My team from St Louis will never play again in a tournament run by Jerry Jackson. Nothing against ISA but as long as Jerry is running the tournament we won't attend. He ruined senior softball tourneys in St Louis by his actions with the ISA senior worlds here several years ago then did the same in Kentucky. There is a reason he keeps moving the tournament.

Amen brother!!...Dave we played in this tourny last year and one of the complexes he used was pathetic you really could'nt call it a complex. It was literally in the middle of a farm field, 2 fields & absolutely no parking. Many cars were hit by balls, no mats for home plate, no concession of any kind! and he calls this a World Tournament. If I'm spending $500 for a World Tourny you should be using the finest facilities in the area... period, no excuses!

The Chicago Classics Gray Sox 65s will be there. We went last year. Played on very good fields on the North end of Columbus. Tourney up there was well run, on time, very good umpires who umped like they wanted to be there. Overall, a return this year was high on our list. Hope it's the same this year.

But Gary, how can you go without your great Ultra II, end-loaded, two-piece? OBTW, it still hits with authority! LOL

I played there last year as well. One of the best that I played in last year. Well run-good umpires. One of the fields/complex wasn't Yankee Stadium but, it was playable without issue. Playing there this year as well.

Dont like the fact you could have a good tourney, and be automatic bump up!

It will be hard. I really liked that 2 piece end load. However, considering my on going mental chaos regarding the world of bats, I didn't want to have to decide whether I would use the end load or or balanced in key situations. Glad you are enjoying it,

Mr Missouri Dave.

I have been to all the ISA Senior Championships and Jerry Jackson has never ran a tournamenmt in Kentucky.

Sounds to me like your team lost and just trying to down grade Jerry Jackson.

I do know the rains came down in St Louis and he did the best he could with the situation. Not to your likenings but he did the best he could.

I agree two of the fields were not the best but not as bad as I have seen.

I went to all the parks in the Columbus area and the one complex was state of the art and there were no others except the ones he used.

I will be back in Columbus this year because the fields were more than adaquate and the UMPs were close to the best we have seen in any Senior Tournaments in any Association.
And the prize package was the best we have seen at a Senior World except the SSUSA.

Garocket,
The problem I had with Mr. Jackson in St. Louis was as follows:

1. It did rain Sunday morning. The local Bridgeton team was ready to work the fields and get the tournament in. These are my home fields and they handle water well. The tournament could have been played, even if it had to go to a one pitch count. Jackson decided not finish, pocketed all his money, and did not even pay the umpires who came Sunday morning show up money.
2. Your are correct about Kentucky, it was actually Tennessee(short term memory is not what it used to be). He tried to pull the same kind of deal and almost got beat with his own cane by a guy from Texas. Temporary fences on half the fields(very short) and one diamond that was 375 in the power alleys.

He moved from Tennesse to Florida and now Indiana. Why do you think he keeps moving? In my opinion it is his reputation. Lots of teams won't come to St Louis for tournaments because of him even when we explain someone else is running the tourneys. This has absolutely nothing to do with how my team fared. I don't even remember how we did in the St Louis tournament.

Glad you like the tournament. I enjoyed the competition and the teams. Do not like Jackson and won't play in any tournament he runs. He is the only guy I know of that would not pay show up money to umpires when he cancels a tournament.

Best of luck in your tournaments.

Missouri Dave
