border battle
just got done watching the USA-CANADA slowpitch game from OKC on espn...USA won 25-10 run rule in 5 inning....lots of great plays and balls flying all over the place.....oh by the way, ball used was the dudley 52-300 ASA ball, along with ASA bats.....

Bob, they were hitting the ball over the 400' marker then on top of a building.

The main thing those guys did was "time their swing to the arrival of the ball".. Most of us commit our bodies before the ball gets to us, the result is you drop a lot of power resulting in weak strikes on the ball.

Where I live in nashville asa uses 44/375 balls. Maybe in Texas it's different.

mad dog...where did u learn what balls they were using? i guess as big as thes guys are, they dont need anything different as far as bats go..the new ASA bats are very lively..they surpassed U-trip bats.

thanks, ken

guys i seen the ball during the telecast(it was the dudley hy-con 52-300)also they have been using this ball for this event since it came out....the bats are the same, they have to pass the same test as what the bats have to pass that we have to use ...lefty until 2014 when it becomes ASA ball of choice, then if you play ASA it will be the 52 ball.....

yes kbl the new ASA bats are better than the usssa bats.....

Seniors in 2013 can use senior bats in ASA Senior Championship Play. This is a new ASA rule 3 section 1(exception) beginning in 2013. Local ASA tournaments may allow these bats for seniors.
