I don't believe anybody was going to beat Kinnco the way they were hitting the ball. On Sunday they scored their 5 Run limit every inning but one. If it wasn't for the flip flop rule we probably would have been their another two hours in the championship game waiting for them to make 3 outs in the open inning.

yea they were down 23 - 11 bottom of 5th on saturday got guy on first nobody out grounder to third threw the ball away at second next batter hit a ball in infield another double play ball lost handle on ball threw it away came back & won game with a three run homrun with two out's I didnt see all there games but I dont think they ever used up there home run limit in any of the games.they played real solid defence wish windy city would have been there would have been great games between thos two.windy city beat kinnco 2 out of three last year in three tight ball games.

Neck10, i would totally disagree with you about Jerry, when a team are 2 and 3 getting in their car to leave , Jerry , tell them you got another game ,so Neck10 help me out with the math, 2+3 = 5, so they get another game, per Mr. Class Jackson, this is the same Jerry , that change the rule in St. louis, because the Florida team, with Mark martin,Cecil Whitehead, Deaton, Bobby Davis, Patty ,Audis,Jefferson etc, couldn,t win in the premlinary , demand that they play unlimit Hr and run per inning, So Jerry come out to the park on Saturday and and change the rule, Stated this is MY TOURNAMENT and if you don,t like it , You can take your F..k team and go home. Jerry is a good guy but it not in his DNA to do the right thing. Motown as a Team has played their last game in the ISA, player can do what the want

crump why did you have your 60's team playing in the 55 division where were all your guys you were missing your outfield except for billy k.if you would have had your 55 team you might not have been in that situation.

In a 6 team 3 Game guarantee bracket there is going to be two teams that will end up with 3 losses it is just the way the brackets are drawn up. Monster ended up with 3 losses also. The first time I a saw 3 game bracket guarantees was about 10 years ago in USSSA tournaments.

I also that the umpiring was good. I have to admit that is the first time our game time was moved up from 12:30 to 12:00 due to the rain delay.

joel 1975, when i send the entry fee, it were the 55 team that were going , but i got all these e-mail, saying i can,t go, so i took a combine team, i believe if i got ten player that want to play, then i got a chance, this were Kinnico weekend, they played well.

TommyC this wasn't a 6 game guarantee it was a 5 game guarantee.
If the team at that point in the bracket had played 5 games then they were out of the tourney weather they had 3 losses or not.
I agree with Crump that rules are always made to fit what this tourney director wants and not what is right.

Players were allowed to play 50 Major and 55 AAA in the same tourney on different teams.Per the ratings index this should never occur no matter who is running the tourney.
Ok'd by this tourney director.

There was a team that showed up with no roster submitted prior to the tourney and was allowed to fill out a roster at the check in table.

Umpires were good

titanhd, I never said it was a 6 game guarantee.

Just was stating that in a 3 game guarantee with 6 teams entered that there will be 2 teams that end up with 3 losses in bracket play the way the bracket is drawn up. The same thing happened in the 55 AAA last year in Columbus.

In a 5 Game guarantee I would rather they have 3 Pool games and then double elimination.

Please how many losses was in pool and how many was in bracket play

If the bracket was posted before the tournament then what is the big deal

I am looking at a 5 team 3gg bracket and the loser of game 1 could lose game 1 game 4 and game 5 and still be in the bracket so that team would have to lose 4 games before they are eliminated

Don't believe me go look up a 5 team 3gg bracket

If they went 1-1 in pool
then in bracke>> look at 5 team 3gg bracket
win game 1
now they are 2-1
lose 2nd game in bracket now 2-2
lose third game in bracket now 2-3 but still in tournament
they would have to play loser of game 6 so game 6 can get the 3 gg that would explain your question

so they could be 2-4 before they are eliminated

Garocket...i am a bit mixed-up...go to Midwest TOC tournament...bring up 55AAA and explain what happens to the team that wins the 1st game
then loses next game.

thanks, ken

Garocket you are WRONG. The game that Crump is upset about should have never been played. That game should only have been played only if it was DeClaires 5th game. (Most often it is marked as an "if needed" game.)
Declaire played two seeding games. Two games in the winners bracket and loss their 5 game to Smith in their first loser bracket game.
That's their 5gg. Motown should then have played Smith not Declaire.

The Bracket is still live on ISASOFTBALL.com

kbl, It looks like the tournament director modified the brackets to keep the situation that Garocket was talking about from happening. You can go to printyuorbrackets.com and pull up the 3game guarantee seeding brackets.

Back to the Columbus tournament. If both Smiths and Motown would have lost their first game in the losers bracket they would have been 0 - 2. Would their next game be played for the fun of it just to get their third game guarantee in?
