Micro-fracture Surgery
The doc recommended to one of my BP partners that he have micro-fracture surgery on his right knee. I know a number of professional athletes have had this procedure. Anyone have any experience with it?

Can't say for sure since I wasn't the one who talked to the doc. From what I read on Wikipedia, it appears to be a procedure for stimulating re-growth of cartilage. Here is a link to the Wikipedia article:

Well it leaves me out age and weight. sounds like a fairly long lasting treatment though. Just wonder what effects would happen with multiple times done.
Didn't notice cost but also didn't go past procedure, age, weight area either. Seemed the age limit was about 45 for best results. Thanks for link.

There seems to be some question as to how long the restored cartilage will last, but at our age, maybe it doesn't have to last so long. Like a told the clerk at Home Depot the other day: "Lifetime warranties don't mean as much as they used to!"

Fine print will usually say limiter life time, as well as implied which is al long as you own it..
But I see the benefits for younger guys having the procedure done. Have had my problems long before I hit the 45 age limit as it were.

As for not needing the longevity for the older guys, it just takes us longer to recover, but overall, we all still like playing when we can.
I'm bone on bone for both. Grim :>) and bear it but manage. can't have worst one replaced so it's a struggle for the knees but I manage....
My worry problems now are my neck and lower back. my doc said I could in time return but know 2 dates are on the books for at least shots. So this year is shot to H.
