Clear coat cracking on the senior combat bat
I\'ve got about 450 breaking in BP swings and this senior combat is one sick bat. The only problem I\'m worried about is the clear coat cracking. The cracking looks just like the Syn. Flex. Doesn\'t matter were you hit on this barrel she\'s gone. I hit with the Ultra 2 today. After hitting with the ultra 2 I picked the combat up. She felt much better to swing and the feel was great when you hit that ball. My Combat was hitting sick at 75 swings. BP is over now she only will be used in games now. This bat is still worth the money.

monty25; No I want be going to Pensacola. I've got to start trying to find a team to play with next year. It doesn't matter if it's a 50 or a 55 AAA team. I still BP 5 days a week. So I'm hitting that softball alot. Trying to jump up there with the big boys like you. I'm trying to get on a team to go to Baton Rouge at the end on Nov. That Combat bat hits as well or better than the Ultra 2. Just takes a little break end time. Glad to hear from you. Slap one for me in Pensacola and tell everybody hi for me.

I used one of my 2 Combat for Seniors
in Las Vegas this weekend
and I agree with Lefty and Monty.
The bat is sick.
Mine has maybe 300 swings on it and is beginning to get those along top to bottom stress Marks
like the Original Synergy used to
without coming apart.
The bat is better to and for me
than the Ultra 2 once its broken in
because of both feel and distance.

I just bought a new in the wrapper combat. Tell me what your code is, does "sick" mean that I should send the bat back and get my money back or does "sick' mean that's it's a good bat and I should keep it.

Hey Wes and Magic,
As Kevin said
it's the Combat for Senior end loaded
28 and 29 oz's.
I used the 28 in Vegas and was hitting bombs
to all fields.
As I said, I like it better for feel because it's end loaded
and the distance is as good or better than the Ultra 2.
I have close to 400 swings on the 28 and I've heard from some of my friends that their's is stiff but gets better every swing.
My advice is just keep swinging it
when you get to 200 or 300 the bat will be off the hook.
And Wes, to interpret the code
"sick" is very hot.

I used a 28 EL in Seattle and was VERY impressed with the bat. Mine has only about 200 swings on it and I was hitting the ball better than I have all year. I used it rather than my U2 all weekend.

Thank's for the "D" code. I have my own pitching machine
and a auto ball feeder for 24 bals. When temp. is above
60 each Sat. I go hit 150 ball, so in 2 Sat.I will hit 300 balls. If this combat has a short life after 50 hit's should I stop using it for BP?????

Wes-
Tne new Combats take a while to break in. I hit one of the prototypes (a 28 OZ EL) over 100 times in BP and games and the bat showed no visible deterioration.

However, when some of the "big boys" on Randy Smith's 50+ team used it, it finally broke. I was told the bat had about 1500 swings on it prior to breaking.

That is pretty durable. I now have one of my own and use it over my Ultra 2 in League - especially since the U2's are so durable.

I'm not a real power hitter. Is the EL Combat more for power hitters and the balance more for average hitters? I like a 28oz, but not sure if I should get EL or balanced. Any advice?
