GSC Bat - Status
OK, don't shoot me guys, but just curious on what's the latest. Last year in July we heard any day now, can somebody provide the bottom line skinny here?

southernson, I swung a prototype of the GSC in Reno at the SSUSA tournament last May, so it is surely getting close one would think. As I mentioned then, they only had end-loaded available to try, so it wasn't my cup of tea.

There is a video and updates in the Senior section of Softballfans.com. Sorry for addressing another site, but info was requested. Hope this helps. Aloha, Fabe

A friend and BP partner of mine ordered and paid for one of these when they first started promoting them (2-3 years ago). Unfortunately, he died last month and, even if they honor all the old orders, he will not be around to enjoy it.

I bought the original White Veteran from Bill Gately, then he offered the 2011 GBA model for $99 to those who bought his first bat. I sent him the $99 in September 2010, but never received the bat. The new GSC owners promised to make good and they've been good at returning calls & emails, but the date for delivery keeps receding like the hairline of some senior softball players I know. I sent them an email 2 weeks ago and received this prompt response:

We just shipped one of the last components from California to South Carolina to help us get to a light production schedule. That will take a few weeks to put in place and then we should be able to begin/resume our light production schedule. Please check back in a few weeks to see how we are coming along. We look forward to you having a bat in your hands very soon.

Bottom line....do not hold your breath.
Even IF it comes to pass after almost 5 years now, it's not in production or sure wasn't last I knew in Nov of 13 so I'd think the new rule would cause a rethink on certification. Or it should. IMHOO

Question: if the GSC bat goes into production this year it will have to meet the new bat policy rules for SSUSA, so then my assumption is if anybody swings the bat this year prior to it being on the list it would be considered an illegal bat yes?

This bat crying AGAIN....

All about a bat no one is being forced to buy, and almost no one has played against!!!

And...for the few of you complaining about paying for a bat and not getting it.....if you really want to do something??? have you ever hear of a thing called small claims court... Oh yah....it's so little money it's not worth your time.

Or....maybe paying for a bat you didn't get was money well spent.....it gave you something new to whine about for the last few years.

Come on, I don't think what I wrote was that bad to have it deleted.

Mr. Tait - Quite frankly, you should be ashamed of yourself for not doing your homework & making such inaccurate statements. You have my direct office # as well as my cell #. All you had to do to get the facts straight was call me.

For clarification purposes to all:

1) SSUSA deemed the GSC P413 Senior approved last season
(including Reno & all other tournaments).

2) Dr. Brandt from Sports Science USA fully passed the P413
Senior per all SSUSA standards.

3) SSUSA (Terry and Fran) advised me personally this week
that all 2014 bat requirements are fulfilled with the
exception of the sponsorship level program selection.

4) SSUSA (Terry and Fran) confirmed that once GSC chooses
and executes a sponsorship program per the new bat
licensing agreement the P413 will be added to the
approved bat list.

Once again, my cell # is (949) 702-3880 for anyone who wants accurate & up to date information.

Best,

Jason

My bad. Let me rephrase.

For what it is worth, I will manage / play for a team sponsored by GSC this year. So I hope my comments are viewed as biased, but not untrue.

Bottom-line

The people/families at God's Sports Company have a vested interest in the P413 coming to market. This is not just a job for those employed by GSC, but more importantly it is their ministry. Their passion and commitment is real. If this bat never reaches the marketplace then the people involved with GSC will have endured a tremendous loss. The loss can certainly be measured in real dollars to the investors and to those being paid by GSC, but how can you measure the loss of a dream or vision.

Not withstanding to previous monies paid to Bill. Steve will honor that commitment to those who bought bats before he sells a bat to any other person. From multiple individuals within the organization to my ears (face to face). That being said GSC has not turned on the credit card machine so the majority of us are just disappointed that the we can't buy the latest and greatest (insert name here)Iphone, Xbox, whatever.

Lastly,

I don't know for SURE when the P413 will come to market, but I know for SURE they are doing everything they can to make it happen.

Jason, Steve, et al,
Most of what I wrote was passed to me to do...I did not do not have access to Dr Brants web site or I would have check figures which I now know were inaccurate.
I apologize for that.
As for the two events listed that would apply for them as well since the length issue was incorrect. Again, I apologize.

As I have stated before I do hope you get it produced but we all know the time keeps moving up and has always made me wonder and when I got the note with the info I jumped on it, and did so wrongly but had no way to check there.

Question posed to me on note was about the length & I took it as written. Again wrong.
I am Sorry for the stress it caused. That all applies to SSUSA as well.

Taits, since your false info was an attempt to slandered GSC...how about you man up and let everyone know the name of the guy that fed you the crap about bat length.

I don't have any vested interest in GSC but....taits you owe it to name the liar.

Yet...for some reason I doubt you will do GSC right and shine light on your informant....maybe you can pretend like your a reporter;-)

This company has made false promises for years. I have moved on after losing my hard earned cash on one of their bats and I wouldn't hold my breath on anything they have to say. I held my breath for over 3 years.
