Game Time Notifications
It's Wednesday, prior to the Indy tourney and I haven't found the schedule for the 55's. The schedules for the other brackets are posted. Is there any reason the schedules can not be distributed earlier? It would save an extra night in the hotel if we knew when the first game on Saturday was scheduled.

Ditto. Realize Brickyard is not the only tourney this week, however, deadline was 16 April for registration. Had 2 weeks to set up brackets. We have players driving 6-7 hrs for this tourney and it would have been great to have game times posted earlier to make possible added accommendations, instead of waiting to the last minute, especially since some of the host hotels have been sold out for that weekend.
Despite that inconvenence, anxiously awaiting to finally play after 7 months of inactivity. Lets play some SMASH ball this weekend!!

In total agreement! 55's bracket needs to be posted as soon as possible to assist with ongoing travel arrangements!

Apparently, Sparky did not get his fill of aggravation from last year with the current state of senior softball. Maybe SSUSA has changed their mission statement and is now all about the players!! Will see!!

Being in 50's and driving several hours to Indy, agreed, would be nice.

Some guys are working a full day on Friday and will get there LATE Friday night, but with it being Wednesday already, it would be great if we could help plan their trip to include sleep-time and etc, so they are ready for first games on Saturday.

The Session #3 schedules for the Brickyard Invitational will be posted sometime later this (Wednesday) evening/night ... It's a very complicated schedule due to there being 40 teams playing at the Midwest Sports Complex over only two days ... But I can tell you this much: Game times will start at 7:30 AM on Saturday morning and the last scheduled games will be at 10:30 PM ... Sunday games will begn at 7:30 AM, with most Championship games at 3:00 PM and "If" games at 4:30 PM ...

I sure miss the "good old days", when schedules were distributed at the Manager Meeting (where everyone actually had to show up) on the night before play commenced! [grins]

So the deadline is mid April. There are a set number of fields, a set number of teams. What is so complicated that it takes nearly a month to make the brackets?

It is actually relatively simple. Set up the Saturday brackets with the later starting times given to the earlier registrants. This gives an incentive to register early. If a team fails to show, the opposing team gets a bye. I would think most teams would trade being able to schedule their traveling arrangements for the possibility of losing playing one game.
