You guys beat the teams I went to watch. Hoping nest year I can play some. Hope you do well and you likely will if your core guys are there. I figure this will be my last event for awhile and was offered teams to play with but chose to not do so, to not to hinder then should something go haywire.
Besides 70's weather is better than 100* lol
Stay healthy.

Thanks Duke for post. It is tied* to ASA senior ball, but all bats used in SSUSA are allowed, as other assn bats are also.
* insurance through them I believe,
These have been going on for many years as well as in other coastal cities but I just started attending them this year in Morro Bay.
Senior softball started through me in Fresno, for ASA, but did not last in Fresno and i turned it over to another person 3 years later for coastal events in Santa Maria which I went to and after some time he stopped doing them and the Morro Bay started up.
They play at Lila Kaiser park about a mile from the beach front.
teams of 55, 50, 65's. I think are open.
contact me for contact info of TD.
It's 100+ in Vegas and Fresno, so this is great ball playing weather @ 75 or so,
Basically a mom & pop type run deal but long\strong ties with many people.

Thanks Duke, Taits. September 20,21 probably wouldn't work because of timing. Cut off for this one has to be close if not passed already but it sounds like they have had tourneys here in the past. We would definitely be interested in the future. Morro Bay, SLO and even Cambria are all nice places to stay. This is the first I've ever heard of tourneys down there. I will look for these in the future. Where would the calendar of events be posted ?

Thanks again !

The 'cut off' could be extended if you tell him your team will attend.
contact me in email within post for his contact number.
Yes they have tourneys there quite often.
I'll provide a link for this years events but nothing after this one until Nov.
Ages vary at them also because he also has 50 and 70's which are not mentioned for this one.

AJC, If your out of Modesto, You have about the same distance as I do and i see the guy tonight at league. Send me you info & I'll have him call you if that is more acceptable for you.
Doesn't matter to me it was a after thought for an alternative to teams that aren't going anywhere this month and want(ed) to do so.

If you know in advance and book early, the motel 6 is $89 per night at the seior rate. You do not have to move your car the entire weekend. The sandy fields and holes in the outfield is accurate. You forgot to mention that the fog rolls in around 7:30PM.

I am going to Morro Bay this weekend. I cannot wait to get there for some cooler weather. It should be in the mid 70's to low 80's. There are many R & R teams. The one that I play with is going to the Vegas Worlds October 3-5. What team are you playing with this weekend, and I will try to stop by and say hi.

POP, a 65 team. The team that bailed out a few months ago. Back then I played for PTR.
Yes it's 104 here today. About 50 days in a row w\ triple digits. But supposed to start a cool down tomorrow.
I'll look for you. TD knows me very well.

Bad hops and sprained ankles over priced motels but it's cool. Have fun boys.
