Sept. 18, 2014 sfuruta 2 posts | team eligibility I would like to know if I am eligible to join a 65 year old team for the 2015 season? My birthday is Sept. 21, 1950, so I will be 65 years of age in Sept. of 2015. |
Sept. 18, 2014 DoubleL10 Men's 70 905 posts | Yes, you are eligible to play in the 65 age group during the year in which you turn 65. Actually, you can play in the Winter Worlds which take place later this year as a 65 to be since the Winter Worlds use next years' roster. |
Sept. 18, 2014 sfuruta 2 posts | I would also like to know how I go about getting an updated SSUSA National Identification Cart with with a 65 number? My current card has the number 60 in the lower right corner. |
Sept. 18, 2014 Duke Men's 65 908 posts | After the Vegas Worlds, you can complete an application online from this web site, or call up to the SSUSA office and apply over the phone with a credit/debit card. You can also mail in that application. If you do nothing, SSUSA will automatically send you a renewal request for a 65 card. Sometimes it can be a slow process to receive your new card, but you can still play for a 65 team while it is in limbo. SSUSA knows you are current and your age, once a 65 team submits its roster. Therefore, it is not a problem. Again, wait till after the Vegas Worlds is completed. I am in the same situation as you this year. Andy Smith, R & R Strokers |
