Why do you swing an End loaded bat?
I'm not trying to start a turf war here. Why do you swing and End Loaded Bat?

Thank you

All other things being equal, bat speed, etc, The end load will give you greater exit ball speed. Therefore, better speed through the infield and greater distance. Other than the physics here, it is a matter of feel and confidence in what you swing.

I swing and end loaded, due to the whip effect, it feels like it helps the finish of the swing just like the above post suggest. Once you get started it becomes faster through the zone and finish.
But one thing, you have to get it going quicker than a balance bat.

Hope this helps. LOL

I have swung 30oz end loads starting way back from the first PST. I just find it more comfortable and it stops me from over swinging.
Over the years I have tried light bats and balanced bats and never had much success with them.

I am now swinging a 30oz Freak52 and wish it had a little more end load. Over the years I have had some bats in the 27oz and 30oz models and I always outhit the 27 with my 30.

Fred, when you are ready to swing a heavy feel end loaded bat try the Nightmare if you like a 2 piece if not the new ambush will do the trick, just saying by the way they are both 1.21 bats not 1.20 more pop if you are a senior player, again just a suggestion.

I really don't use a senior bat. Strange as it may sound, I hit to far with them and just hit long pretty outs. At 81 I don't have the power to put it over the heads of the fielders who play deep because of the Senior Bats and have never been able to place the ball in the gaps. A few years ago I tried a Senior bat and first two games of tournament I hit the ball long but they were just outs so I went back to my Mut98 and starting to hitting my singles again and let the big boys knock me in. By not using a Senior bat it gives me a little advantage as the outfielders are playing so deep because of the Senior Bats that it gives me a lot of space to just drop line drives in front of them for singles.

I make more consistent solid contact with a balanced bat. This is probably due to being able to keep the bat on the desired flatter swing path. End-loaded ones seem to cause more fly balls and less frequent solid contacts. Could be just me, though.

I broke my left elbow twice when young (bat right) and it never healed properly, so the end load allows me to drive the ball to my right side. Have a couple opposite field home runs, helps since I weigh 160 lbs.
