Thank you
Staff

Thank you for getting tentative field assignments out. I do have one suggestion, is that for 50AAA, those playing games at BLD in Gilbert and then having to shuttle over to Desert West on Friday afternoon for what looks like a second bracket game ( potential 4 games on Friday?)
will face the possibility of a 1.5 hour drive ( its almost 40 miles and 45 minutes without traffic ), and traffic through PHX gets pretty bad.

Thank you for your time and efforts.

You are right! It is a long way and westbound Friday afternoon traffic will be a nightmare. My suggestion, leave plenty early and double up and use the carpool lane.

In Vegas there were more than 500 teams and nobody played 4 games on Friday. Why are some teams having to that in Phoenix?

Las Vegas = 40+ Fields Available • Phoenix = 26 Fields Available (and only 19 after Friday)
We don't HAVE to play that many on Friday if you would prefer to roll those games into Saturday night at 9:30 and 11:00 PM starting times (with 'survivors' due back on Sunday at 8:00 AM) ... Do you have a preference between those two options?

Too bad the other facilities aren't available. Would make your job(which I wouldn't wish on anyone) a little easier.

I don't mind that option if the alternative is staying in phoenix for what could potentially be a single game at who knows what time.

If a team goes 0-2 in bracket play they have no choice but to hang out Saturday waiting for what couled be a single game, at which point your stuck with cost of hotel on Saturday night.

I would rather only see 3 games on friday as people will be tired from traveling in late Thursday or early Friday morning.

As I mentioned previously, "you'd be hard pressed to Top Arizona Fields, Field Locations, Airport, Hotels, and Freeways" If it takes you 1.5 hours to drive 40 miles, you ain't peddling fast enough! NASCAR is here this weekend, but it's far enough out West not to create any Traffic Nightmares. Weekend Traffic in Phoenix ain't all that Bad!

Dbax, westbound Friday afternoon traffic would be a nightmare, and prolly the worst scenario. 99.999% unlikely anyone will be traveling from BLD to Desert West on Friday. Dave is certainly smarter than a 5th grader, ain't he (LOL)!?

Its the Friday traffic I as referring to, and its a 99.999% certainty teams will be traveling West.

50AAA is playing Pool and First Bracket at BLD, losers of those First Bracket games have to drive to DW to play a second bracket game.

Which means those that have to play will get all stiff from sitting in traffic and have to get out of the car and play a game.

I would rather play into the night on Saturday ( we do it at Worlds in Vegas, not sure why its an issue in PHX) than have to force 4 games into a Friday.

Jeff, there will definitely be teams traveling from BLD to Desert West on Friday afternoon. Not talking about Saturday and Sunday.

BIG LEAGUE DREAMS • Friday ONLY / 7 (of 8) fields / 42 games
Men's 50 AAA (17 RR / 8 brackets) NOTE: 7 losers bracket games at DW Friday

DESERT WEST • / 4 fields
¤ Friday / 28 games:
Men's 50 AAA: 7 bracket games, teams from BLD.

Had I been looking at this from your 50AAA perspective, it might have sunk in!? I didn't get past, "Men's 50 Majors (6 RR) To Rose Mofford Sat." My Bad (LOL) ! ! !

That was the point I was making. Last year
11 50AAA teams, this year 17. Happy for growth but the 50's are not the largest group. 55s and 60s are.

I'm concerned about a 130 bracket game ending at 300 ish and then having to fight traffic assuming no accident or closure for a 500 pm game and having to jump out of car to play. This goessay for any teams out there. Hard to get loone after playing then sitting in car for extended period of time. Leads to injury.

It says it's just tentative...but it would be better if we have to travel to go to Papago on Friday evening instead of DW. I would think that something could be figured out. DW may work out...but it has a chance to be a disaster.
