2015 Tournament sites
SSUSA Staff...would you please explain the reasoning for the lack of ANY USA tournament events in the Ohio River (Midwest) region states? From the look of the location map and tourn schedule, you have no tournament listed in IL, KY, OH, TN, and one listed in MO. Before I jump to conclussions or judgement, I am sure others would like to know as well. Thank you for your response.

The 2015 Tournament Season event listing process takes a bit of time ... We posted the TOC Qualifier events first because we administer them and make all of the arrangements, including the dates ... Here are some other thoughts to keep in mind as the listing evolves ...

• We gave our staff a couple of days off in the past week to 10 days, and some of them expanded that by using their remaining vacation days from 2014, slowing things down a bit;
• There will be events in Elgin, IL (The Windy City) and Indianapolis, IN (Brickyard Invitational) in the general area of the Ohio River, and quite possibly others as we are advised by the TD's who have historically run them ...
• Many independent directors who run events have not yet tied down their dates, or haven't advised us of all details that would allow us to post them to the list; and
• The annual calendar doesn't just instantly materialize ... It's the result of a LOT of planning and arrangements by both the TD's and the SSUSA Home Office ... It's an evolutionary process that takes time ... Not being able to differentiate between when you want something and when you need it can sometimes lead to frustration and/or faulty conclusions ... Patience will likely be rewarded! ...

Happy New Year!

Curt, I just received the SSUSA newsletter via email and there are additional tournaments listed there as preliminary. In Missouri there are 5 more tourneys in April (KC), June (Columbia), 2 in August (St. Louis and KC) and September (KC). The ISA Worlds are in late July early August in Columbus, Ind. There are no SSUSA tournaments listed in Ohio. But I would suggest going to the SPA and/or ISA sites for additional tournaments in your area. Good luck in 2015.

Curt, I hope to see you at the Brickyard in Indy this year; 50s are the first weekend in May, and you can call the SSUSA office to sign up. Just be patient, it was much harder figuring out team schedules so early in the year before the internet exploded, and even the senior associations should get to enjoy the holidays with their real families. Happy New Year. May your hits be plentiful and all your parts work.

Thank you to everyone for the responses and helpful hints. I will continue to watch for additional dates(patiently) and try to make our schedule around that. Nancy, Brickyard is on our list again and look forward to seeing you again. Good luck to you all
