May 1-2 tournament-Indy
Would appreciate any info concerning the tournament in Indy on May 1-2: ie-average # of teams, condition of fields, format, bats allowed, balls used etc. Any other information would be great!
Jackson Merchants of Michigan plan on participating. Thanks!!

The cut-off is not until next week, but last year there were a total of 32 teams for all age divisions. About half of those were 50s. You can contact the park at 317-875-8833 if you have specific questions on the tournament. Tim lets me be UIC for this weekend; so if you want to talk with me on anything including the area, you can call me at work during the day at 317-510-3435. I know that it will be a lot warmer than when we played in Vegas last November. We were also hoping that the boys from Kalamazoo might come down too. Take care.

I hate it when my memory fails. I will be getting with Tim tomorrow, but I think that we did a three game round robin followed by a double elimination last year, but I should know for sure tomorrow. We were really disappointed about the New Albany tournament being cancelled that you were going to have, but we all know politics are sometimes hard to overcome. I am hoping that our team will want to substitute the NSA one in Kentuckian that same weekend.

I checked, and last year we played four games and then a single elimination. My guys reminded me that we played two games before getting knocked out which was why I had the lapse. Tim is working on the brackets now. Depending on how many are in your bracket, it might be a round robin or end up in a single elimination. There are thirteen more teams than last year; so this has been a good challenge to all of us. Hopefully he will have it done before leagues start tonight. He is tops in my book on this. Good luck to everyone this weekend.
