Trying to play in Tournaments
I am new to all this, so please forgive my lack of knowledge. There is a couple of tournaments I am interested in playing in, like the one in Houston and the Las Vegas one. I have no team. I am wonder when the time gets closer to these tournaments will I start seeing postings of teams looking for players. I am 55, but I think I can play in 50+ too but unsure.

Dancer - If you have specific questions, please call the SSUSA Home Office in Sacramento at (916) 326.5303 and we will be happy to try to help you ... If you are looking for replies here, it may be a good idea to state whether you looking to join a women's or men's team, your contact information (optional) and your home state of residence, which may have an impact on which teams you may be eligible to join ... Good luck! ...

My real question is:

I am wonder when the time gets closer to these tournaments (Houston and Las Vegas) will I start seeing postings of teams looking for players.

About me: I am a male and 55 years old and live in Houston Texas. I have 26 years of experience. I can play anything, but SS and 3rd. Can play outfield in the daytime, but not at night (just can't judge the ball well at night). My lifetime hitting avg is about .630; however, I am doing good so far in senior league, in 6 games I am 15 for 21 (.714 avg), but 3 weeks is not enough time to tell.

To answer the question you we asking, once you have your senior card, it will tell you age bracket you can play in. You can play backward in age ( 55, 50's and 40's) just not forward.

Yes, as tournaments draw near keep an eye on Teams Looking for Players tab. You can also post now under Players Looking for Team and identify which tournaments you are available to play.

As Staff said, give them a call so you can understand any geographic restrictions. I think you can only play on teams that touch the state you reside in.

Hope this helps.
