Senior Softball forum will connect you to a team.
Anyone looking for a team to play on please use this platform.
In 2011 I was looking for a team as I had just moved from NJ and did not know a soul in Texas. I got a response from a great guy Frankie Armijo, and he told me to bring my glove and come down to the Monday night senior league (which now plays in Grand Prairie, TX) and warm up with his team. Frankie said he didn't need any more players but someone else may. Frankie managed and played with the BXR team that was playing against the Texas Legends who Frankie introduced me to as they were short players and said they could use me. Their manager, the late Buddy Hopper, then ask me to play with them on Monday nights. I played 2 years on their Monday night team and this year was invited to play on their tournament 70s team this year as I just retired. Ironically, Frankie also plays on the Legends 70s tournament team also. I have to thank this forum especially for introducing me to Texas softball and 2 great players Frankie Armijo and the late Buddy Hopper that made it possible for me to continue playing softball which is a great passion of mine with so many great guys not only on the Legends but all the teams that just love the game. Thank you Senior Softball.

I am looking to play slow pitch. I haven't played in about 12 years. I used to be very athletic. I can hit, cannot run very good. I can catch, or pitch. I live in Waxhaw, NC (28173).

Looking to play with a 70 team next year. Am playing with a 65 team called the Texas Eagles. I have been playing since 80's and have played with Texas Greyhounds in 2012 Got a plaque for Best Defensive Player of Tournament. This year voted Best Defensive Player of tournament in Geo. town. I have played S/S for many years, but can play any place. I am in perfect condition I run really fast and I am committed to playing every tournament team plays in for next year. I am looking to start playing with a 70 team so that I can play all four years. I have batted 500 or better every tournament that I have played in.

Mrsoftballers.
The Texas Legends 70s tournament team will be together at least 3 more years after this year. I just started playing with them this year. We have 2 teams. Basically we have an SSUSA team where you must turn 70 in 2015 and we have a SPA team that allows 2 69ers. At present we do have 2 69ers on our SPA team. Most of us play Monday nights at Grand Prairie and pretty much same guys play for the Arlington Rangers on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings in day ball. Do you know Dick or Nick? They play on all 4 teams. Our Manager is Ray out of Salado. I am not sure if we need any players now as we have about 15 on our rosters now but a good infI elder is hard to find. My email is dallas2063@gmail.com and my name is Art. I can certainly check with our manager who could see if we or someone he knows could use you.
