| June 17, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | The "snowbird" rule is in the Rulebook at §13.1(2) on page 61. Generally, a player who is (or will be) living in a state other than his home state (determined by the home address state appearing on his Federal Income Tax Return) for at least three consecutive months may apply for a "snowbird card" for the current Season. The player may play for any team in his home state (or it's bordering states) AND for a team in the snowbird state (but NOT its bordering states) ... He must select only one of those teams for rosters used in the Eastern or Western Nationals and the World Masters Championships. In the Major+ Divisions for ages 50+ through 70+, snowbirds may NOT be on the roster, but the team may have up to two "out of region" players from either east or west of the Mississippi River, depending on the home state of the Major+ team. |
