Just got moved up and need some clarification
SSUSA,
I kindly ask that you do not send me to the rule book and please answer the following so I can plan accordingly.
We just learned this afternoon that we (AZ Old School 50's) got moved up to a Majors status. That is fine and we somewhat expected it, as we are playing great ball recently. We have qualified for the TOC by winning Vegas in April and last weekend by winning the SoCal Championships in Hemet, both as a AAA club. By winning in Hemet we also were given the opportunity to play in Sacramento against the winner of the NorCal Championships next month.
Here we go:
1. Are we still allowed the opportunity to go to the TOC as a AAA club ? As a Major club? (I spoke with a player tonight who qualified for the TOC as a AA club, got moved up to AAA and went to TOC as a AA.)
2. Are we allowed to play the Nor-Cal Champion in Sacramento in 3 weeks ? If so, do we spot runs or they add a defensive player ?
It would be highly appreciated if you would please reply asap.

If you got moved up to major, there is no more AAA in your life...Mid season move up happened to us last year and that was it..

swing, not true they can still play TOC as a AAA if they don't win a TOC qualifer as a major team before this season ends.

JB, I agree with you but .....
I have heard both answers in the past 12 hours, we just need to hear SSUSA's position.
I could see the promotion effecting question #2 above, but it should not effect the TOC earned privlege.

D,
I agree there needs to be more teams available within the upper divisions and I can assume that this is the manner inwhich that can occur. I believe that there are other teams than us (and Phx Bulldawgs) who got moved yesterday, so I see SSUSA trying to fill in the gaps. In the Mesquite/St. George Tourney in March they only had two 50 Majors and Hemet last weekend had but three. It benefits the SSUSA (and the players) to do this. If my memory is correct, AZ now has one Major+ (Elite) and now three Major clubs (Guardians, Dawgs, Old School). It's a start.

SSUSA,
Please let me know if we go as a AAA club to TOC (we have earned this privlege). Thank you for the consideration.

Good Luck E6...our team got bumped last year from Major to Major Plus around this time...we had to play from that point on...including Worlds in Las Vegas...as Major Plus.

We completely understand that from yesterday (7/14/2015) on we play in Major. It is what it is. Looking forward to the challenges of competing against different teams and players.
The point at hand is since we have qualified for the TOC as a AAA club twice so far this year (via the Hemet and Las Vegas tourneys), we should be allowed to compete as a AAA club at the TOC.
As stated previously, it is a privlege that we have earned.
Just waiting for SSUSA to agree ...... or not.

[1] TOC • AGREED (until you win another event this year in 50-Major and compete at the TOC in the higher rating!) ... Otherwise it's TOC in 50-AAA ... [2] Still evaluating the California State Championship game issue and will advise shortly ... You are not the only team in this circumstance ... Congratulations on your successes!
