HI, TY GREER IM A 50 MAJOR AND A 55 3A PLAYER. I PLAY WITH PONY EXPRESS AND PMB/PRECISE. MY TEAMS DECIDED NOT TO GO TO VEGAS AND IM STILL INTERESTED IF POSSIBLE. I PLAY OF AND SOME MIDDLE IF. GOOD POWER, SPEED AND ARM. IM A TEAM PLAYER AS WELL, WITH A GOOD ATTITUDE (NOT A PRIMO)I JUST LOVE THE GAME. I KNOW ITS TOUGH TO PICK UP PLAYERS W/O SEEING THEM, I COULD SEND YOU A VIDEO TAKING SWINGS OFF THE TEE. IF INTERESTED 313-407-8118

Not trying to cause problems, I just want to know. How can a AAA team pick up a major player for worlds? Aren't rosters frozen at some point? And how do you take players to AAA worlds that are from a Major roster? I think I am starting to understand how we do well all year and then get our asses handed to us at Worlds.

jimperry19 ... They can't ... As posted last week in another thread ...

"...There are very limited exceptions for teams that are short players on their Qualifying Roster which MAY allow you to be added to a team for the World Masters ... Please take a look at the "white paper" on this topic, which is available from the Menu bar above at TOURNAMENTSRULESWorld Masters Championships Roster Considerations & Rules ..."

HOWEVER, in ALL of the limited exceptions, a player may NOT "play down" a rating level as a roster exemption player in the World Masters ... The specifics are in that white paper, but it is very clear in that regard ...

Wow, SSUSA thanks for answering so quickly. Your answer is disappointing however, that was our excuse for doing so poorly at Worlds in Vegas.

First of all jimperry, not once in my thread did I say I was looking for a Major player. The person who replied is a major player. But thanks anyways for brining it to my attention.

I just got released from this year's roaster. The team I was playing with added a couple really really good players which I disagreed with so I asked to be released. I already have reservations for 50 aaa world and would like to hookup with another team. I play second, 1st and will hit 700 with power. If interested please give me a call. 714 234 1377.

Hey Coach7,i didn't mean to start anything, hope you were able to pick someone up in time. Good luck in the tourney, I didn't know how it would work that's why I told you to call and check. Trust me was not out to hurt your team just to play some softball, and as for jimperry19, maybe you should spend your time getting better players and read posted discussions better. Again Coach7 good luck to you and your team!!!!!

Tiger, excellent advice, thank you. We had always wondered about getting better players but just couldn't put two and two together. I appreciate the input and will pass it on. I was asking a simple question because players are always on this site wanting to pick up for Worlds,I was just trying to see how it works. We had issues trying to pick up a player for Sacramento last year due to injuries and were denied. So, repeat, just asking a question. Coach7, I did not mean to cause you any issues, I apologize if it came across that way. Good luck at Worlds.
