When they are finished and pass technical review. Fitst session is complete awaiting that review and second session is in progress. Sometime next week is likely. Best thimg to do is keep checking here. It's the first place they will show up.

RIK56 ... Some will take that stance even if they're NOT screwed up! ... Session #1 has 181 teams playing a potential 591 games on 39 fields across 10 softball complexes ... We're going to take a "technical review first" approach, just to be prudent, before releasing them in the next couple of days ... Thanks!

Hey Dave,
Appreciate all you are doing to make such a large event happen. We are very much looking forward to coming to play this year. Is there a way to tell on the site or do you know how many teams that we will have in the 50 M+ division?
Thank You,

Alan Tanner

Tri18 ... TENTATIVE field assignment for 50-Major+ is Sunset Park (Fri/Sat) and Big League Dreams (Sun) ... There were thirteen 50-Major+ teams in the mix at the entry deadline Friday ... The office pros will be confirming those entries Monday morning and the list will go final at Noon PDT ... The participating teams are available from the link in the top Priority Message Board post ...

Not yet, Brad ... We don't release that information for the World Masters until the day before the entry deadline (like we did for the first three sessions) ... But here's a hint: There were 52 teams in the Men's 40-Masters last year, and based on entries to date, it looks like that attendance record will fall, too ...

Why is it the 50AAA never gets to play at BLD? Every big vegas tournament its the same thing 50AAA stuck with hollywood park, shadow rock parks on the far out skirts east of town. Hollywood fields have to be the worst fields in vegas, did you guys trim the foul lines, last year this time there was two feet of grass growing across the dirt towards the fence, VERY CLASSY!!!!! Plus the grass on the fields looked like it hadnt been mowed in a month.

Come out lets us play at BLD how hard is it...!!!!!!!!

nick ... We've covered this discussion a multitude of times over the years, but the bottom line is that the Division is simply too large to play at BLD (with only six fields) ... That Division requires a minimum of 10 fields, unrestricted by local league play ... The only combination that fits that minimum is the 10-field mix of Lorenzi/Shadow Rock/Hollywood (and that may not be enough this year) ...

Without getting too technical, it requires about 3.21 times the number of teams to play a bracket that size, so with 68 teams in the 50-AAA this year, that's somewhere around 220 games ... Unless you (and all of the other teams) are willing to play a "Midnight Madness" 24-hour format, it's not happening at BLD, with a theoretical daily capacity of 60 games (8:00 AM thru 9:30 PM game starts) ...

Of course, if you really want to play there, just have your manager call us and ask to for a rating increase to 50-Major (at BLD this year) ... Oh, the 50-AAA has played at BLD during the Southwest Championships in April ...

Not to nit pick, but it was Southwest Championships in April 2014... April 2015 50AAA was at Shadow Rock.

Midnight Madness would be fun.

wdodge ... I wasn't concerned too much about the year, it was meant to be a "generic" April of any year, but the response was poorly constructed! ... You are absolutely correct about 2014 ... Regardless, it exposes the factual failure of the statement "..the 50AAA never gets to play at BLD?.." ... It's normally a good idea (and more credible) to stay away from absolutes like "always" and "never" in a discussion ... Never is a LONG time! ... Good luck in Vegas!

Staff,

While I know you weren't concerned about the year, just figured I would help so you didn't get hammered.

As far as definitive statements, I agree that's why I never use them.

Thanks for the well wishes in Vegas.

As stated, the only concern I have on fields is making sure that the grass on the grass fields at Shadow Rock is edged in a straight line down the foul lines.

Worlds is an arduous process for you all, best of luck to you all too.
