In year 2013 we finished 2nd in the Vegas worlds and were rated Major, does anyone know why? We don't.I thought you had to win a big tournament to be rated. Am i wrong? Rv

Yes, you are incorrect if you believe that the ONLY criteria for a rating adjustment upward is if you win the World/National championship of SPA, ISA and/or SSUSA ... If the statistical analysis of your performance justifies a "look" at your team, then a thorough analysis is done to see if it it appropriate to increase your rating ... It appears that decision was made with your team, and is known as a "Performance Based" increase ...

You are repeating a message thread you started on September 1st, but our previous advice to you remains the same: Submit a formal rating appeal to SSUSA and see what happens ... Anonymous Message Board commentary, like yours, will be insufficient to accomplish what you want to have happen ... The official forms are available within this web site ... The next rating cycle will be shortly after the upcoming LVSSA/SSUSA World Masters Championships later this month and into early October ... Good luck ...
