National Champions
SSUSA needs to consider a new format that will increase the chances of an actual game being played. If either the Eastern or Western champions don't come to the Worlds how about inviting the Northern or Southern Champions to participate. My team played the Western Championship because of the potential seeding at the Worlds. No game ment no seeding.

There is no doubt there is a flaw in the format and a disregard for teams in part of the Country. "Because that is the way it is"! Ah just like life sometimes it's not fair!

We will likely take a look during the Rules Committee meetings at the Annual Convention in Reno only at the circumstance of a team that wins in either the Eastern or the Western Championships AND does not have an opponent for a USA Game ... However, it is highly unlikely there will be a change in the format to expand the potential participants in such a game from other "non-qualified roster" events ... There are too many non-qualified roster events to choose from and too few game slots available at the World Masters to create a "tournament within a tournament" structure ... The two paths to the USA National Championship Games go through Raleigh and Sacramento, a system that has worked quite well despite occasional dissenting minority opinions ... (See the complete rationale on this topic in the related thread Las Vegas World Tournament automatic [seeding]) ...
