Oct. 7, 2015 gonz 51 posts | hawaiians 50AA I was so excited being at the tournament this year. This is the first year that I was eligible to play. I didn't know what to expect. I heard that a lot of the team play tournaments all year. Anyways, I just wanted to say job well done for all the people running the tournament. I had a great time. Go Hawaiians. Oct. 12, 2015 gonz 51 posts | Had a question about individual rating for our team. We are going to be bumped up to AAA. Is all the players that was on the team bumped up to AAA status or only the team? If so how can individuals be either bumped up or down in status? Thank Sherwin Gonzales #35 Hawaiians |

Oct. 14, 2015 gonz 51 posts | thank you, how do players get rated? I see that teams get rated but wanted to find out how players are rated? Sherwin Gonzales #35 Hawaiians |
Oct. 14, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3491 posts | Sherwin ... First, congratulations on your Championship! ... Well deserved ... As to your inquiry: Contrary to popular perception, SSUSA does NOT rate [players individually ... However, we DO keep track of the TEAM rating history of each player for a rolling two-year period, which encompasses the current SSUSA (2016) Season and the two (complete) previous Seasons ... The Hawaiians will now be rated as a AAA team, and all of your roster players will reflect a AAA team rating experience history beginning right now and extending through the 2017 Season ... Because you won a World Masters Championships bracket with more than five teams, the AAA rating increase is not subject to appeal for the 2016 Season ... Your players MAY, on a cased by case basis, be able to play for a AA team, but only if there are no more than three "out of rating" AAA players on the AA team's roster ... Under current roster rules, your team will also be able to add up to three players who have Major team rating experience history in either of the past two seasons ... If you have more specific questions, please call George or Tiffany at the Sacramento Home Office at (916) 326.5303 ... Good luck! |

Oct. 20, 2015 gonz 51 posts | so a AAA player can play in AA under the 3 "out of rating" as long as he/she is one of the three. Would he be able to play up one division (Major)? How would it work if you are a first year player and start with a major team. You would only be able to play up or down one division? What if the player went with a major team but wasn't up to that caliber say he was a AA player could he play one year with the major team then move back down to AA or is he stuck? thanks Sherwin Gonzales #35 |
