| Oct. 27, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | WINTER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015 DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 of the 2015 SSUSA Winter National Championships in Ft. Myers, Cape Coral and Naples, FL, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these DRAFT schedules are TENTATIVE, are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ... NOTE 1: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are frozen as of the Managers Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend the Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director. NOTE 2: All TENTATIVE Field Assignments for Session #1 may now be regarded as FINAL, consistent with the DRAFT Game Schedules ... | Oct. 29, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | MEN'S 65/70-GOLD REVISION Due to an error on our part, we had the Chicago Hitmen 65's playing in Ft. Myers at the Winter Nationals when, in fact, they are going to Phoenix for the Winter Worlds ... Correcting our error required amending the division to 19 teams from 20, with resultant schedule and bracket revisions ... We regret our error ... Good luck everyone! |
| Nov. 3, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3484 posts | SESSION #2 MAJOR REVISION N. COLLIER Due to the late withdrawal on Monday of a 60-Major+ team, Metro Hitmen (NJ), a comprehensive re-write was required ... Despite winning the 2015 SPA World Championships at Dalton in the 60-Major, they declined to participate in the SSUSA Winter Nationals under their automatic rating increase to Major+ ... Their untimely withdrawal had the following effects ... Collapsed (and eliminated) the 60-Major+ bracket; Required isolating the other two 60-Major+ teams from the 60-Major group because it is impossible to make the 60-Major seeding rounds fair to all five teams (one would have had to play both 60-Major+ teams for seeding); Required the 60-Major+ remaining teams to be moved to the 55-Major Division (same rating index = 7), renamed the 55/60-Platinum; Caused the 55/60-Platinum seeding pool play schedule to be completely re-drafted to incorporate the two 60-Major+ teams; and Caused significant changes to the 50/55-Platinum and 60-Major bracket schedules on BOTH Saturday and Sunday to accommodate the layout of the "new" 11-team 55/60-Platinum bracket ... We apologize for the major inconveniences brought about by this withdrawal, even though they were completely outside of our causation or control ... All revisions are online ...
