I know I speak for my So Cal 55 and Top Gun Elite 60's teammates in sending Terry positive thoughts and prayers for successful treatment and recovery. We look forward to seeing you back soon.

Also, thank you for stressing the importance for all of us to have prostate exams. So many never do this for a myriad of ridiculous reasons and/or some old school thinking. Thank you for the public service announcement to the senior softball community. Hopefully, some thinking will shift.

Terry my friend I will keep you in my prayers. Your friendship has been a blessing to me not only to stay on the field but for your kindness each year to help the Children at Sunshine Acres Children's Home golf tournament which is Nov. 20th at LongBOw. I know I can speak for CJS Express who finally decided to play 60's and gave me chance to re join them that we wish you and family the best and look forward to seeing you very soon. Hugs and blessings my friend. Gary Ingle

All the guys from High Desert Roadrunners wish you positive energy and prayer for healing. As I shared with you earlier, you will battle like a champion and be back on the fields with your buddies before you know it. There are a few of us that can relate to your challenge. Blessings to you Terry!

Terry-

Had radical prostate surgery in 2009. Retired in February 2009 and found the cancer in May of 2009. I chose the robotic option. After the surgery I had to wear the catheter for a week, and I was left with some incontinence (soak up about 2-pads a day) but that is a small price to pay for getting to live another day.

I play for the 70's senior league in San Antonio, TX.

Yes, there are some inconvenient issues to deal with after the surgery, but I am happy with my outcome.

I wish you the best my friend. I am convinced that there are thousands of men walking around with prostate cancer and some of them will succumb to it because they do not realize how important it is to get a biopsy every few years.

Kindest regards.

this is something that can NOT be overlooked....60% yes SIXTY PERCENT of all men 65 and over had some type of prostate issue and/or cancer...I am surprised that the organizations (SSUSA..SPA..and ISSA)do not jump on the information express..This issue and tests should be encouraged at every tournament and every piece of literature that goes out to the players...There should be support groups for your leagues as it can be a personal and disturbing issues to some...But if caught in time, it is not an issue as opposed to waiting later. Set up a date to check your prostate...
