Senior Softball Spring Training
Hi guys,
I've been asked to start a new thread on this so we don't have any confusion. We just finished a very successful Fall edition of our teaching program for senior players. Team 1 Sports is the only softball company that specializes and caters to the needs and requirements of the senior softball player and our camps show this. The next edition will be in Vero Beach , FL on February 25,26&27 th, 2016. I promise you this....if you come you will learn things that other camps don't cover and your game will change for the better. Between individual instruction, mini seminars, games, and organized bp sessions you will have fun and progress as a senior athlete. With our added "mini boot camp atmosphere" you will go home laughing, in better shape, and be a better player. Registration is $250 and it's limited as we make sure to keep out instructors able to meet the individual needs of each athlete. Call me at 561-718-7504 to register or with questions.

Oly,
I appreciate your post. It may be possible but sometimes cost is prohibitive. I guess if you could advertise it in your area in conjunction with myself doing the same it could possibly work. I would have to fly myself and the staff and pay for hotels and their food over four days which is a bit costly. We usually only charge $250 per player and that includes the banquet on Saturday night plus giveaways. I would have to break it down but I'm thinking we would have to have at least 50 or so players to break close to even which I am willing to do. I'm happy to speak with you and work together on this in the future if you are interested in working together on it.

OZ,
We will be at:
South County Regional Park
800 20th Ave SW
Vero Beach, FL 32962

I am working on host hotel rooms right now. February is the peak of the tourist season in Vero so rooms are more expensive and harder to come by. I work on them and work on them and try to get you guys the best rates! There are several hotels right on I95 and RT60 and they sit in the same parking lot as the famous Vero Beach Outlet Mall which is a big shopping destination. (A VERY good way to entice your wife or girlfriend into letting you come! LOL)
I should have all that done by next week along with confirming our banquet site....Thank You,

AS A DEVOTED USER OF DUDLEY BATS IT PAINS ME TO SAY THIS.....LOL! THE MIKEN

ULTRA 2 BLACK I JUST GOT FROM ALAN IS THE BEST BAT I HAVE EVER HIT. DONT THINK

ITS REALLY ANY HOTTER THAN THE DUDLYS, BUT RIGHT OUT OF THE WRAPPER I WAS

HITTING BALLS AS FAR AS EITHER THE 12" OR 13" DUDLYS I HAVE WITH 500 SWINGS ON

THEM. THE SWEET SPOT SEEMED TO BE A BIT LARGER AND MORE FORGIVING THAN THE

DUDLYS. THE SWING WEIGHT WAS SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THEM. HIT BALLS

TODAY AT DIAMOND PLEX HERE IN WINTER HAVEN (FIELD C TO THOSE OF YOU FAMILIAR)

WIND BLOWING STRAIGHT IN AT 15+ MPH. HIT 40+ OUT OF 100 OUT. 25 WITH THE MIKEN

STRAIGHT OUT OF THE WRAPPER. THE ONLY QUESTION I HAVE NOW IS THE DURABILITY.

IF IT COMES EVEN CLOSE TO THE DUDLYS ( I GET ABOUT 800+- SWINGS OUT OF THE

DUDLEYS), MIKEN HAS A REAL WINNER ON THIER HANDS.

Doer,
Glad you like the bat. It certainly is one of the best I've ever tested. What's even better is that all 3 models are consistent and perform at top levels. Competition in the marketplace has produced a great product for us senior guys to take advantage of. Miken has finally caught up to the huge demand so I actually have them in stock now. Before this....I was waiting at the mailbox every day! Lol

It's a great opportunity to come enjoy some warm February weather and get ready for SSUSA' s Spring tournament schedule. You can contact me with any questions or to register. Btw....we have 2 ladies registered already as all the ladies over 35 in 2016 are welcome!

I have been reading all year about how when the Dudley opens up it is amazing. Mine finally did in Phoenix, and it became extremely hot overnight. I must have 500 cuts or more on it. And the durability is also amazing.

Webbie,
Not sure if your post was meant for this thread but? We had an actual Rep that works DIRECTLY for Dudley at our fall camp and he will be at our spring camp too. He will have the latest information and updates from Dudley along with demo bats for guys and girls to swing. Anything new coming down the pike from Dudley will be presented along with updates from the current line. The new back packs and bags that he showed us were certainly very nice! Hope to see you at our camp...

You are right as I really didn't list it correctly on the thread here but it is correct on the site. Thursday evening is just an informal meet and greet and the program goes all day Friday, Saturday and a half day Sunday. Hope you can make it.

A hotel room update: Rooms are hard to come by in February. I am still working on a small room block but many hotels don't want to block off rooms ahead as they can get $200 per night for a $100 room that time of the year. I did get information today that will get you a room for $109 which is $80 less per night than usual. Make your reservations ASAP before rates go up:

My dad is a retired colonel ....he calls them "war stories" ! It's a a fun time for sure. I've been told by one of our campers the way to go right now is priceline on a few of the hotels right on Rt60/I95 in Vero Beach by the Outlet Mall. I will continue to work on them.
Wes, you can fly into Orlando or West Palm Beach and even Sanford is not far as well...

We usually stay at the Hampton Inn at I95/Rt.60 exit. Reasonable rates and clean. If you are even thinking about attending you need to book it now, you can always cancel.

Guys,
We now have three hotels that are basically in the same parking lot next to the Vero Beach Outlet Mall. (Designed to lure spouses and girlfriends, lol!)
These are at the main intersection of Rt. 60 and I95 and about 15 minutes from the South County Regional Park in Vero Beach where the training camp will be held.
Hampton Inn
Country Suites
Holiday Inn Express
Each of these are at various price levels with the best value being Country Suites. We now have campers coming from as far away as Canada and California and I'm excited to have each of you there. If you want a one on one experience where you can benefit during every phase of the camp, call and register now. You will find it to be the most comprehensive camp designed especially for the needs of the senior player.

Hemi!
Food is a critical resource and I happen to like good food! Lol seriously, nutrition and hydration are two things often very much overlooked by athletes who think they are doing everything correct in an effort to being as good as a ball player as they can be. Understanding and dealing with these requirements is just another key element in helping ourselves to have an opportunity to succeed on the ball field as senior players. These topics and more are covered during our mini seminars and on banquet night at our Spring Training camp.. Don't miss out on the most comprehensive camp in the US. REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW FOR OUR February 26-28 th camp in Vero Beach, FL.

There is information on the Team 1 Sports website. Out of respect for the policy of SSUSA and this message board, I don't post the direct link or list the site address. I appreciate the fact that they let me post general info here in regards to the camp. Feel free to call me or email me anytime and I'll be happy to help you.

I am happy to announce that I reached an agreement today to again have the famous Saturday night banquet at Mulligans on the Beach in Vero. Mulligans has hosted us for our first two events but were hesitant to commit to us taking up the entire back room as we did in the fall since it's the very lucrative tourist season right now. So....we will be at Mulligans again in February at one of the best restaurants in Vero Beach located right on the beach. Registration Is open now so call me to reserve your spot.

Hemi,
At this point yes, all are on schedule to attend and possibly one additional staff member as well. Davey Reed may be somewhat limited as his grandson is wrestling in the State tournament that weekend so it depends on his match times as to his availability. We have a great mix of staff and agenda for this spring session so you won't want to miss out. You can call me for details or to register.
